5 out of 5 eggsFast & Cheap

Pros: The Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2 x 4MB) is a solution. It's fast and cheap, just like I like my women!

I was able to slap the memory in and boot right up. No configuration, no errors, no problems whatsoever. In my opinion you can't go wrong with Crucial memory.

Cons: It wasn't free.

Other Thoughts: I'm running this memory with the Asus M4A87TD/USB3 motherboard with the AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition CPU. It's a great combination... for now. >8^)

5 out of 5 eggsCheap can be good.

Pros: Cheap. Got it for free with the motherboard.

It works.

Can be overclocked if needed.

Cons: Speed.

Retail price.

Other Thoughts: Why bother with overclocking if it will not gain any visible speed increase anyway?

Also you can buy/sell it you know where.

3 out of 5 eggsRAM DIED

Pros: Good price.

Cons: Broken RAM out of the box. The lockups only happened when running 1080p flash videos past 20 minutes. Once every 2 1/2 weeks. So I ignored it, thinking it was Flash. Eventually it got worse. Swapped ram chips, problem gone.

Sound stuttered, computer locked up, had to hard reboot. Finally got a RAM error 3 months in.

5 out of 5 eggsGot this free with Extreme6 Mobo

Pros: Good value, not too flashy, works like ram should.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I got this stick free with my Asrock z77 Extreme6 motherboard, and that means I saved $50. I can't really complain.
