5 out of 5 eggsWorks exactly as expected

Pros: Have been running for almost 2 years with heavy gaming, no issues to speak of

Cons: none so far - see other thoughts

Other Thoughts: About 1 month ago My PC failed to boot, no BIOS or beep code. I reseated a few components (but not the CPU or GPU) and it worked again. Not sure if it was the RAM but it was one of the things I reseated, so it could have been. That being said, it was also VERY overdue for a cleaning. I won't take an egg off bc I don't know if it was the stick's fault, and even if it was, a reseating immediately fixed everything.

P.S. I planned on adding 2 more sticks, but seeing how I paid $35 for 8GB, current prices made my wallet say no. This is a global trend of course, not Crucial's, but I still feel like complaining ;)

5 out of 5 eggsNo Problems

Pros: Stable

Looks good

Fast

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I read the reviews, before purchasing this memory. So far, so good. I'll probably buy a couple more sticks, since the price is quite reasonable.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Was good while it was good. Already had 8 gigs and wanted more so this made it 16.

Cons: I have had the ram for 18 months and didn't have an issue and today a stick died on me while my original 8 gigs(2 sticks of 4gigs from a different brand) are still going strong. This isn't a huge issue since I still have 12 gigs. From what I have read on other reviews this seems to happen a lot. You have been warned.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

Please contact our support at 1-800-336-8896 option #2 or online at www.crucial.com/help and we'll do what we can to assist.

1 out of 5 eggsCraps Out, Read Other Reviews

Pros: Cheap

Cons: As you can read through a lot of other reviews, this RAM had (still has?) issues with a stick or two going bad. Quality Control was (still is?) poor and the RMA process is a headache. The problem is that in order for me to get the new RAM I have to ship back the one good stick WITH the bad stick -- this leaves me without a computer and without the ability to do my job or have entertainment.

Other Thoughts: I got it on sale so it was a good deal then, but I would recommend other Crucial models or the G. Skill brand (excellent customer service and they seem to reply more often to Newegg issues than Crucial does).

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

We're sorry to hear our memory has caused you any issues. If an RMA is needed we do offer a cross ship option so you can stay up and running but it does require a credit card number. We fully stand behind all our products and are here to support you, please contact us at 1-800-336-8896 option # 2 or online at www.crucial.com/help

Regards,
Crucial

5 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Works

Cons: -

Other Thoughts: Representing the silent majority all I can say is I installed it and it works. I don't try to tweak memory timing or mess with any settings. I have been using it for 2 months and it may die tomorrow but for now it works fine. I let memtest run when I got it and no errors were reported.
