5 out of 5 eggsImpressive

Pros: These things look beautiful in my case. The RAM itself is speedy and works just fine.

Cons: None that I've encountered.

Other Thoughts: The software to control the lighting is minimal, but it gets the job done.

5 out of 5 eggsThese Things Are AWESOME!

Pros: Look up a Youtube video of these bad boys. They make any case look 10 times more awesome. it's just...I don't even know what to say. It's amazing that something so simple gets me so excited, but it totally does.

I would recommend these on ANY computer with a window, or holes, or any way to see these. They're amazing.

Cons: For some reason they defaulted to 1333 on my board, and while the would post at 1866 without issue, I couldn't overclock beyond that without getting error, even with relaxed timings.

I wish I could pull 2133 out of it, but I can't hold it against them if they don't pull it off. So I won't.

Other Thoughts: The speed at which the lights flicker is based off of the CPU load at any given time, and because of that, it actually makes diagnosing the PC much, much easier.

It used to take me upwards of a minute to five minutes to completely be sure whether my computer was just loading something very large, and needed some time to work, or if it just froze entirely. There's a specific speed at which the lights will move if it's frozen, and I know immediately.

On the other hand, if the screen stops responding, but the lights keep moving at the same speed or go faster, I know that it's just doing something that's going to take a little time. it's made things like overclocking and installing certain drivers and firmware a bit less arduous.

5 out of 5 eggsLooks good, works good!

Pros: This RAM worked as soon as I plugged it in. I set it to the proper speed in the BIOS, went into Windows, and used the utility to control the light colors and patterns. I love the LEDs. I have one set to blue and the other to orange. It really looks cool.

Cons: The price went down a week after I bought it. :( Also, I could see the lights being less useful if your case is already full of LEDs.

Other Thoughts: If the price stays low, I might buy another set. :D

2 out of 5 eggsUnstable

Pros: Lights are nice, albeit bright. Modules have a professional look to them.

Cons: Unstable at 1866, 1.5v. I've had to run them at 1333 in order to avoid BSODs. If I up the voltage to 1.65v, 1866 lasts only a little longer before BSODing. Not what I paid for.

Other Thoughts: LEDs are very bright! Might get annoying.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent memory

Pros: Runs at rated speed/timings with no issues.

LEDs cycle in four different patterns and customizable brightness.

Very easy to install DIMMs and configure LEDs, the Ballistix MOD utility is easy-to-use.

Cons: A bit more expensive than non-LED SDRAM, but of course you know this going in.

Other Thoughts: So far this has been a great purchase and an easy mod, to boot, no regrets.

I purchased these two sticks of 4GB RAM to replace a four-stick set of 2GB Ballistix DIMMs (still a total of 8GB) because I didn't know when I purchased the motherboard that it only supported full RAM speeds with only two DIMMs installed and not four. With these two jewels in place, I'm getting a full 1866MHz and a nifty light show!

The only downside was a bump in the price, but it wasn't much (~15%) so I'm not complaining.

5 out of 5 eggsfirst day

Pros: awesome looking awesome functioning awesome altogether

Cons: not really the fault of the memory but in some systems on some motherboards you may need to change the memories command rate from T1 to T2 for stability reasons

5 out of 5 eggsNice lights.

Pros: Overclock easy. Can change colors. Stays cool.

Cons: The software will not work that changes the lights on some motherboards. I would look up your board before buying these to make sure the software will work with your board.

Other Thoughts: They look really nice.
