5 out of 5 eggsExcellent RAM

Pros: Drop-in compatibility with ECS AMD C-60 board (not at full speed, of course)

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: RAM prices soared after the holidays (when I bought this). I haven't been able to find out exactly why...wish I would have stocked up on this while it was available and only $15.

5 out of 5 eggsSatisfied

Pros: Cheap, did I mention cheap? DDR3 4 Gigs for what - about $4/Gig? H0ly cow. I have had no crashes for 96 hours just running the PC straight, multipe on/off's, sleeps, etc., my experience shows 'bad' memory shows up right away as funny behavior (right behind flaky PSU), which is easily diagnosed by memtest. This stuff is solid as a rock so far at 1.5V/1333. And that's all I need.

Cons: Yellow color clashes with my mobo - OK kidding. Who cares.

Other Thoughts: Running at 1333, default speed of my recently purchased AMD mobo. Have made no attempts to clock this stuff up to rated speed as I'm unsure if the board can deliver clean power at higher volts. And frankly I don't care. I'm not folding, this is just for HTPC.

3 out of 5 eggsWill not run at rated speeds on AM3+

Pros: Great price.

Nice looking sticks, low-profile heat spreaders fit under my humongous HSF, where many others will not.

Cons: I absolutely cannot get these to run at 1866MHz on my Gigabyte AM3+ 990FX UltraDurable motherboard. This is with a new Visheron octo-core FX8320 CPU.

I tried relaxing the timings from the rated 9-9-9-24 up to 11-11-11-27, still will not POST. I then tried over-volting in increments all the way up to 1.75V (that's 17% higher) and, even with the relaxed timings, still no POST.

At 1600MHz, they run fine-and-dandy, I can even time them down to 8-8-8-24 and they sail along smooth and cool.

The SPD in BIOS displays timings of 9-9-9-24 (as does the Newegg product page,) but the label on the sticks themselves shows 9-9-9-27, so there's a discrepancy in there somewhere.

Other Thoughts: I would have given these 2-Eggs, but, according to other reviews here, there seems to be a trend with getting these to run at rated speeds in AM3+ (and possibly other AMD socket) motherboards. This could be an issue with the motherboards or CPUs (since the memory controller is integrated,) and not necessarily the RAM itself. To try and be fair, I gave some of the benefit of the doubt to the RAM and added 1 Egg.

Despite the glaring issue, I've elected to keep these DIMMs and run them at 1600MHz. The price was good and they are still faster than my older 1333MHz sticks.

Perhaps someday I'll try another brand or variety and see if they will clock up to 1866MHz as they should.

These seem like decent DIMMs, but if you're thinking of using them in an AMD-based motherboard, caveat emptor! Again, whether this is the fault of the RAM or the motherboard/CPU remains unknown, but the end result is the same regardless.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for overclocking stable and cheap

Pros: Been running these at 2133 8-8-8-24 1T at 1.78v for the last 2 weeks completely stable. Before that I was running them at 2133 9-9-9-24 1T 1.65v for about a month. Using A10-58000k I'm getting 7,360 points in 3dmark vantage and 11,200 in 3dmark 06 with 1086 GPU and 2300 north bridge and 4400 cpu clocks. I could go higher if it weren't for the VRM's on my cheap MSI FM2 A75MA-E35.

Cons: As another persson said WEI won't go any higher than 5.9 when using IGP but don't be fooled, they are still just as fast as other kits at the same speed. I think windows is only seeing 3.5gigs available and basing it's score on that.

5 out of 5 eggsUpdate

Pros: I wanted to give an update from the time of my original purchase. I'm running these modules at 1866, 8-8-8-25, 2T, and they are rock solid. I had to up the Voltage to 1.6 V, but they aren't even warm to the touch.

Cons: No cons.

Other Thoughts: Running on an ASRock FM2A75-DGS, and A10-5800k, under Ubuntu 12.10 x64. Tested stability with both memtest and prime95 over the course of a few days.

1 out of 5 eggsDefective

Pros: Was hoping it would work flawlessly in my system.
Crucial's website says it is compatible with my motherboard

Cons: Ram has errors in it. I get a random BSOD and my motherboard beeps 3 times before start-up.

Other Thoughts: Pick another manufacturer.
