Pros: It's SATA 2.

Cons: It's not SATA 3.

Other Thoughts: I hope most of you realize that this drive is SATA 2 NOT SATA 3. That in and of its self makes this drive on par with mechanical drives as far as read/write speed goes. If you want speed GET THE M4. Some of you may want to adjust your tech level, it even states in the description its SATA 2.

Cons: Everything, Gets slower everday, Scrap Metal at best. Got to be better drive out there. Computer now takes 15 mins to boot off this drive. Only operating ssytem on drive.

Pros: Was very fast and reliable when I first received it the SSD.

Cons: I left the computer off for 48 hours and came back to where only the BIOS could read. Couldn't even recover it using Ubuntu.

Pros: It's easy to install and works great at first, just like you'd expect, and it's cheap

Cons: I have been using this with my MacBook Pro to create a Fusion Drive. At first it was really fast and worked seemlessly with my original HDD. But once I started to install my pro software it slowed down dramatically. Even though I set up trim to be on, my write speed slowed into the megabytes per seconds range. That kind of slowdown keeps giving me the beachball of death

Other Thoughts: From what I've gathered, I am not the only one with this issue. Supposedly it's a bad logic controller design. Whatever the issue, this has quickly turned me into a very frustrated user. I'll be shelling out the extra money for an m4. This thing is junk. I will say that I am very pleased that I was able to return this even though I was 4 days past Newegg's 30 day policy. They're giving me store credit for it, which is going towards my new m4. So props to Newegg for great customer service.

Pros: Ease of install but duh... it's a drive.

Cons: Performance is incredibly slow. Crawls. We're talking < 10MBs per second transfer rates. Startup (with Windows 8) and time to usability could be measured in the hours.

Other Thoughts: Stay away from this drive and just go for a Samsung SSD. I replaced this with a Samsung Series 840 and it is truly night and day difference.

Cons: Terribly slow. Not sure if this is defective drive that I got or just some incompatibility of the drive with my notebook (dell n4010). I am returning the drive. When I bought it I didn't realize Newegg had a replacement only policy. I wish I could get my money back and buy some other brand..

Pros: Nothing, unless maybe you are lucky enough not to experience any 'compatibility' issues.

Cons: Once I had installed Windows 7 on this drive it completely slowed my entire system down. Contacted Crucial and they said they had experience some compatibility issues with this unit. This drive made my system slower than the HDD drive I had that was over 3 years old. If you don't believe me or some of the other reviewers here, go to Crucial's own support forum and search for v4 under the SSD section. You will see that most of the posts are about extremely slow performance and frequent freezing. If you buy this item you are just rolling the dice that it will actually work with your system. Crucial can't even tell you which systems it seems to work well with.

Other Thoughts: To Crucial's credit, even though I had bought the item from Newegg, the offered to replace the v4 with the m4, which they assured me would solve my compatibility issues. Newegg, on the other hand, would only replace the drive with another v4 (which probably would have solved nothing).

Cons: Super slow. Only scores a 5.9 on WEI score but should really be lower considering how slow this SSD drive is. I wouldn't put it in the same SSD category.

I have installed the this drive on two machines now and both experienced the same very-slow response times. Tested same two computers with different SSDs and they ran super -fast. I've narrowed the problems down to this drive. Checked manufacturer and web for any firmware updates and found none.

I've purchased a couple dozen different SSDs, all different brands, this was the only one that performed so terribly. Again, not recommended for today's PC/Mac needs.

Pros: Great SSD and speed with the space.

Cons: I forgot to buy a SSD adapter of the SSD for a 5.25" stander bay
