5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: So far I have had no ram issues with this product. Good price for 2x8GB sticks leaving me 2 open slots should I wish to upgrade to 32GB in the future.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Worked right out of the box.

Great price for the amount of memory (when it was on sale).

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: First thing I did was run memtest98 to verify all was well. I haven't attempted to overclock yet.

For first time builders just make sure your read the motherboard manual before you buy to ensure the mobo can support this memory as well as to know what slots to use.

Pros: Works as advertised. No compatibility issues. Hasn't failed.

Cons: None

1 out of 5 eggsBad cards

Pros: It worked

Cons: Stop working within 90 days.

Other Thoughts: Motherboard Asrock Z87M beeps 4 times when start up. when took these two cards out, my desktop was able to boot.
Or second scenario, installed just these two cards on my motherboard. My desktop can load for a short while, then gave me a blue screen.
Now I am stuck with it since it's passed 30 days to do RMA.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Quality RAM

Pros: Great quality! I use Crucial Ballistix Sport RAM on all of my builds - even the servers that don't require ECC! it is stable, fast, and since I use only high-end motherboards in my builds, I never have an issue with this not working.
I've even used this in Lenovo Thinkservers (the entry-level boxes) and it runs like a champ!

Cons: I don't get to RMA these memory sticks at all, so I get out of practice with the whole RMA process.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very good for its price and I have had no problems, even after I broke my motherboard with the RAM attached.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: My AMD motherboard slowly stopped working before I had realized I had a coin stuck under it near the USB ports.

5 out of 5 eggsA great buy!

Pros: simple, cheap, no issues with instal, not too big to fit around aftermarket heatsinks etc..

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: If you are considering buying this then dont hesitate. I did a ton of research on different models and this one was the right choice. Its an older technology but for those of us who arent upgrading every year its a great fit for the previous generation. I dont overclock or anything but I need large amounts of RAM for video editing. Ram is not complicated. For us 1156 socket users this is the best it gets for our motherboards.

5 out of 5 eggsMaybe check your lead thingys

Pros: Got this RAM for $120 with free shipping. I've had it running for 6 days now with no problems. My MSI PH 61A-P35 (B3) motherboard manual said that only 15+GB of 16 would be detected. However, Windows 8.1 seems to be detecting all 16GB with no indication of the limitation noted in my mb manual.

Cons: Initially, my system went through a series of quick restarts (3-4 seconds each) without loading windows. After about 5 cycles, I decided something was wrong and switched off the power. I removed one of my new RAM sticks to see if maybe one of the sticks was bad. On one stick, my system then loaded the bios interface where I simply "saved and exited" and rebooted to Windows with no problems.

On closer inspection of the stick that I removed, I found a tiny dot (1 mm dia.) of something on one of the RAM's leads that I first thought to be a speck of epoxy. During removal, I found that it was much, much thinner than epoxy, but still substantial enough to possibly cause a bad connection. After removal of the speck, I reinstalled the stick and Windows booted up after a bios "save and exit."

I don't think that I could have caused the contamination on the lead because it was dried, and I didn't have the RAM out of the box long enough before installing for any liquid contamination by me to have dried. But, I won't remove a star because of the contamination either.

I've never had contamination on any RAM before, so I don't know if it was worth mentioning just because such a thing is so rare in my experience.
