5 out of 5 eggsIt works

Pros: It works just like it should. It looks good for some builds.

Cons: It doesn't overclock well, but most ram doesn't do that well. It is also very tall so it could mess with some large CPU coolers, but you can measure the height before buying it.

1 out of 5 eggsUseless after 2 months

Pros: Not much, it worked well at first but was not as impressive as I expected.

Cons: My Crucial troubles started when I bought the Ballistix Sport 8GB 1600. It frankly sucked, so I went hunting for new ram to replace it. I would have gone with companies I know have amazing ram but I saw this on sale and I did not have much money so I decided to gamble it on Crucial again. I understand that the upgrade from 1600 to 1866 XT was very minor, but I did it because I planned to purchase a second XT stick when I had more money. When I got the money I bought the second stick, and while it was a massive improvement, the ram itself was still disappointingly slow. I decided to keep it at its mediocre levels because once again I am strapped for cash... but after the first couple months of usage, both sticks showed signs of issues, mainly my computer began to freeze and crash (I tested them for stability when I got them and I have not been overclocking or anything like that). Now they are so messed up that my pc freezes every time I start it and it freezes or crashes randomly throughout use, whether I am gaming or typing a document. This is the first time I have experienced ram so awful, I will never in a million years buy from them again. Even if they offered me free ram right now I would turn them down, I don't want their products anywhere near my pc. Time to dig into my short pockets once again to buy new ram... but this time I will not go with the one that is 20 bucks cheaper... and I implore you to do the same. In the end my attempts at frugality left me $200+ short with nothing to show for it.

1 out of 5 eggsDidn't Work

Pros: None

Cons: I got computer parts for my son to build his own pc for christmas, and this ram came in a manilla envolope in the mail, with no protection. As you could have guessed, it was broken when my son built the computer. The only way we knew this is becaus ehe took the RAM out of my computer(in which I was not happy about) and the pc worked fine. The spec for the PC are:

1 MSI 970A-g46 motherboard
1 500 gb WD cavalir HDD (16 MB cache)
1 Crucial 8 Gb 1866 Mhz DDR3 stick of RAM
1 PNY Geforce g630 2 Gb Video Card(PCI 2.0 Express x16)
1 400 Watt Diablotech PSU
1 Dioblotech Case
1 DVD-RW Drive

5 out of 5 eggsRuns Great

Pros: Runs and tested great. Ran the thorough diagnostic test overnight with no errors. I have 2 of these running duel channel in a Dell XPS 8700. Intel Core I-7 4770 Haswell.
Dell bios(after update) shows running at 1866 speeds.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I had to update my XPS to bios A03 to get the ram to run at rated 1866 speeds. Bios shows 1866 and CPU-Z confirms the running speeds. I was amazed that the Dell motherboard allowed these puppies to run.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very good ram, so far I haven't had any problems with it.

Cons: The only con is that my motherboard won't put it into 1866, That cause of the motherboard I got.
