5 out of 5 eggsGreat Choice

Pros: Low timings, voltage and latency with high speeds and XMP. Makes this memory compatible with pretty much any Haswell-based mobile platform. Got it for a great price, thanks to the $30 off promo code.

I purchased this to upgrade over the standard 8GB module that shipped with my MSi GE60 Apache Pro-003. The notebook automatically applied the correct speed and timings and booted without a hiccup. System ran without issues for the first full day of use.

I needed this upgrade since I also use this machine for video editing work, and such programs will often grab all the available memory they can. The original 8GB (which also had slower 11-11-11-28 timings) was showing its limitations.

Cons: Well... Price. Even though I got it for $30 off, DDR3 memory is considerably more expensive now than it was when the market was over-saturated a couple years ago. But we wont be seeing prices like that again.

Other Thoughts: I also have this notebook upgraded with the M550 256GB SSD from Crucial, which has been running like a champion. for the past 4 months. Another great piece of hardware to check out if you're looking at upgrading your notebook.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM

Pros: Have not had any chance to test it with Windows memory diagnostic or other programs, but so far I haven't had an issues with it.

Comes in packaging that can be used to store old RAM

Cons: That packaging makes it extremely hard to take out the RAM initially without straining the board.

Other Thoughts: I had a tiny bit of trouble installing the RAM into my laptop, but that's mostly my fault.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat in Dell e6540

Pros: Fast and robust.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Fast low voltage RAM for the Haswell boards. The Dell e6540 accepts nothing but low voltage RAM and the Crucial Ballistics Sport is excellent in this machine.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Memory

Pros: Extremely fast notebook memory
100% stable in Lenovo IdeaPad Y510p

Cons: Pricey

Other Thoughts: My new Lenovo IdeaPad Y510p shipped with 8GB of CAS 11 DDR 1600. This was adequate memory, but I opted for CAS 9 when I decided to double the laptop's memory.

This Ballistix Sport was more expensive than the other available CAS 9, but it was the only 9-9-9-24, so I decided to spend the extra money.

This memory was not approved for my machine, but I decided to take a chance anyway to get the best performance. My Y510p recognized it immediately, and it has been flawlessly running Win8 and all my applications. The machine feels more responsive overall, and all my apps load noticeably faster than they did with the OEM memory. So far, no issues at all.

If you have a Lenovo IdeaPad Y410p or Y510p and want to upgrade your PC's memory, you can buy the Ballistix Sport with confidence. Two thumbs up. :)

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent memory

Pros: Filled the 16 gig capacity of my elitebook 8470p. It replaced 2 Kingston Hyper x 2x4 (sold on e-...). Same speed. In a month, no freeze, no blue screen (never did before either). Runs perfect.

Cons: Not cheap.

Other Thoughts: Bought them from cruc. before they were available at Newegg. Since 2001, I must have 30 pages of orders from the Egg. I usually buy here. At cruc. they were 139. free ship. C'mon Newegg, you don't have to follow Kingston prices. Put that down please.
