5 out of 5 eggsStill kicking

Pros: Same speed and reliability as normal SSD. I haven't had any trouble with it and I've had it for 6 months. It still boots and loads up as fast as when I first got it.

Cons: Just the amount of space says its 128Gb is really 120Gb which isn't to uncommon.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price

Pros: - Fast
- Low cost
- so far, reliable

Cons: - Refurb, - but knew that when I got it.
- barebones - not much of a con, but mentionable.

Other Thoughts: Since this didn't come with brackets, and neither did my case for a 2.5", the drive is simply floating in my case, but obviously still works just fine.

Benchmarks, after a month of hard use, are as follows:

CrystalDiskMark 3.02 - 1GB file, best of 4:
Sequential Read/Write == 333.9MB/s / 189.8MB/s
512k Read/Write == 266.0MB/s / 168.9MB/s
4k - QD:32 Read/Write == 24.53MB/s / 99.18MB/s
4k - QD:1 Read/Write == 15.79MB/s / 66.38MB/s

5 out of 5 eggsOld Reliable

Pros: It's the M4...need I say more? Fast, sturdy, reliable. Overall, still one of the best ever made. Eggcellent price on the Egg!

Cons: None really.

Other Thoughts: The M4's reputation has been nothing but stellar. This SSD stormed into the mainstream as new light for the market. You really can't ever go wrong getting the Crucial M4. Sure, it might not be as fast, or nearly as fast, as many others, however it can last. Will always buy a Crucial for my system even if I have others hooked up. You will rely on it someday. Also, go to their website and get the firmware updates. And look into some ssd optimization guides online; they'll help in the long run.

4 out of 5 eggsso far it's gootah

Pros: Definitely noticeable speed at boot up and program startup

Cons: Had some problems when over clocking my GPU. PC would shut off and the SSD wouldn't be bootable.

Had to disconnect all power and disconnect the SSD in order to boot again.

Other Thoughts: Overall I'm satisfied. Just expecting the worst to happen as always.

Bought crucial Ram and hasn't disappointed me yet so I bought this M4 :)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value

Pros: This SSD, which is my first, is just a great value! I was hesitant due to the refurb branding, but I jumped for it anyhow, and I'm glad I did! For half the price of other 128GB SSDs you get a fully functional, FAST, and reliable drive. First thing I did after I took it out of the superb packaging(the drive in an ESD bag enclosed in closed-cell foam) I restart my system, install, boot into my old Windows 8 install and update the firmware. This is an easy task with Curcial's update software and within seconds I get a box stating the firmware is up to date! Reboot, plug in my Win8 USB drive, and I'm on my way. Windows installed very quickly, and the "We're getting things ready" screen took at least 75% less time than with my old HDD(WD Black 500GB). My mobo supports Fast Boot so that's even better, with load times being around 20 seconds (I have the CM Storm Trigger, so I need a longer UEFI timer sequence to let it boot up). Overall, I'm very happy to join the SSD master race, and at such a low entry fee I can't complain one bit.

Pros:
Very cheap
Reliable
Worked no problem at all
RAID ready, which I plan on doing later.
With shoprunner it got to my door in 2 business days as promised.

Cons: 30 day warranty, but that's expected with refurbs.

Other Thoughts: If you're on the fence, buy it!

5 out of 5 eggsSeems as good as original

Pros: My first venture in to SSD was actually this very drive, only a new drive, not a refurb. After that I acquired a few Samsung 830 models, which are what I now prefer (faster than this drive). I picked this up for a server upgrade project and this drive did not disappoint.

Cons: I'll have to look at my original M4 drive, but regardless, the labels on this drive are on backwards, i.e. if you mount the drive using the bottom mounting holes, that is the side the pretty crucial label is on, unlike every other brand of SSD drive I have. No bigger, but I wonder how I will sleep...

5 out of 5 eggsso far so good..only time will tell

Pros: I quickly ordered two of these refurbished Crucial M4 SSD's when Newegg advertised them for sale at $65. At $65/unit it's a fantastic bargain provided they stay functional beyond the 30-day warranty period. Eggsaver delivery once again excruciatingly slow considering these SSDs were stocked right across the river at the Newegg east coast Secaucus warehouse. Packaged extremely well with lots and lots of blister and bubble wrap. I quickly tested these refurbished units by reformatting multiple times followed by cloning drives using Acronis and have been stress testing these SSD's over the past 48 hours.

Cons: Small capacity SSD's slowly dropping in price each month so I suspect there will be more and more refurbished returns coming to market. These refurbished drives are definitely used prior and Crucial appears to have "massaged" some of the reported parameters but who cares so long as they function. Not too thrilled with just a 30-day return warranty which is why I quickly tested then put them into use. Newegg!...please find a way to lose EggSaver shipping since it is painfully slow and unreliable...how much could Newegg possibly save versus going the typical UPS shipping methods? I would still like Newegg to reconsider price matching all pc components ... processors are just not cost competitive compared to Newegg's closest retail competitor even when I have to pay the local taxes and making the trek from Queens, NY into Westbury. In the interim I make up for this shortfall by using the "price protection" program which all the major credit card companies put in place. Finally, how about Newegg increasing the percentage rebate when I access Newegg via Ebates.com? 1% back is insultingly low especially for large purchases

Other Thoughts: Newegg "open box", refurbished, and occasional "scratch and dent" parts are a cost effective way of saving money and I have never been burned going this route. I don't want to jinx any of this continued strategy going this route and will continue doing so until this route starts going downhill

5 out of 5 eggsNice Crucial SSD

Pros: Super Fast. It is working. I'm surprise how strong this device is. Boots up and Detected the SSD right away.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Thanks Newegg. I like how you wrap the SSD in a ESD bag and have it wrap in a very nice size bubble bag. Please do that more with shipping. Even with a Box. I feel the equipment is safe when it arrive. Thanks very much. I'm happy.
