Crucial 16GB Kit (8GB x 2) DDR3-1600 ECC UDIMM

The Crucial 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM ECC Unbuffered memory kit is a trusted, better-performing memory upgrade solution at a lower price. It delivers fast speed and low latency to address your daily needs in work and entertainment. It works at an ultra-low voltage of 1.35v for reliable performance. The small, slim design makes it seamlessly fit into any small systems.

Note:

To use this DDR3 memory kit, your system motherboard must have 240-pin DIMM slots and a DDR3-enabled chipset. This is because a DDR3 SDRAM DIMM will not fit into a standard DDR2 DIMM socket or a DDR DIMM socket.

general information

More power efficient. Less heat.

Meticulously designed to operate at a low voltage of 1.35V, this memory kit consumes less power and generates less heat, enhancing system stability.

Slim, Small Design

The small, slim memory modules are approximately 5.25 inches long and 1.18 inches high, ideal for smaller cases or any system where internal space is at a premium.

5 out of 5 eggsTop Notch ECC RAM

Pros: ECC. If you don't know what it is, you don't need it.

Cons: costs a little more than regular RAM

Other Thoughts: Running 32Gb. Tested each stick in each slot for 7-8 passes of Mem86. Every stick and slot combination tested perfect 0 errors.

5 out of 5 eggsThey Work For Me

Pros: Crucial quality. Unbuffered ECC RAM for servers.

Cons: Cost, but then again nothing that's worth the money is ever free.

Other Thoughts: Installed in a Supermicro A1SRM-2558F motherboard. BIOS recognized RAM without any issues in "auto" mode.

5 out of 5 eggsGood memory

Pros: Don't have to fuss with BIOS automatically setting things right. And I'm a big believer in Crucial's quality, and also in their product support. And a great price too!

Cons: They're a little plain-looking. ;) Yeah, I know. :)

Other Thoughts: I've become a Crucial fan lately. Their products, right now at least, I feel completely confident buying.

5 out of 5 eggsI can't remember anything, so I bought this and it helped.

Pros: Works perfectly in my N40L Microserver. No excessive heat, no difficulty in fitting in the tiny mITX spaces in my little cube.

Cons: No problems, no cons.

5 out of 5 eggsIt works - what else do you want?

Pros: It works, which sadly is not a given when talking about various combinations of motherboards, processors and RAM.

Cons: None, really.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks Great in Thinkserver TS140

Pros: Works Great in Thinkserver TS140. Is low voltage (1.35) like the memory that ships in the TS140.

Cons: More expensive than other brands but it is said on the web that Kingston sometimes isn't compatible with the TS140?

Other Thoughts: One egg off only because of the higher price.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for FreeNAS on SuperMicro boards

Pros: Paired with an X10SLM+-F board. Worked fine since first boot.

Cons: Nil.

Other Thoughts: As per :

https://forums.freenas.org/index.php?threads/ram-recommendations-for-supermicro-x10-lga1150-motherboards.23291/

This is a rebrand of a Micron unit that is very often seen on SuperMicro's RAM QVL's. Crucial is actually Micron's consumer brand. Single DIMMs are model number CT102472BD160B.
