5 out of 5 eggsOrdered more... still awesome

Pros: I ordered another pair and they are working fine in my FreeNAS box. (see other review below)

Just thought I would give Crucial more of props they deserve.

Cons: NONE!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Worked at rated speed right out of the box. Was able to enable ECC in the BIOS and confirmed in Linux. Tolerant of 1.5V which the BIOS was set to. Worked just fine after dropping down to rated 1.35V.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I can confirm that ECC works with an AMD FX-8370 on an ASUS M5A99FX Pro R2.0, at least in Linux.

5 out of 5 eggsSuperMicro X10SAE & Xeon 1230v3

Pros: 16 GB of single-bit ECC memory for cheap

Cons: It doesn't cook me dinner?

Other Thoughts: Bought this memory to put into a SuperMicro X10SAE with a Xeon 1230v3 processor. Clocked to stock 1600, works without a hitch, verified ECC functionality inside linux.
Fast, stable, not much else to say.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great in a Lenovo TS140 (70A4001LUX)

Pros: Stable
ECC
1.35v
1600MHz

Cons: None so far. If I must list one it's the general high price of RAM these days.

Other Thoughts: I have two of these kits (32GB) installed in a Lenovo TS140 server with a Xeon 1225v3 and I have not had any issues. The box runs ESXi 5.5 with a bunch of VMs including VCenter, Win8, Win7, Debian, Arch, Ubuntu, Win2K12R2 and FreeBSD. Server is responsive with plenty of memory resources to spare .

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: All 16GB are recognized in my HP ProLiant G7 N54L with HP BIOS 2013.10.01 (A) 15 Nov 2013, even though the HP specs say it only supports 8GB. Memtest shows no errors.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsworks in my NAS server

Pros: it works at speed in a Supermicro X9SCM-F-O motherboard.

Cons: the price is a little high

Other Thoughts: have this RAM in server running 24/7 and
it's doing the job. Crucial Rocks!

5 out of 5 eggsCost effective and reliable

Pros: - Cost compared to similar ECC ram.

- Arrived in a timely manner and packaged very well as always.

- Was detected right away in a new SUPERMICRO MBD-X9SCM-F-O with Intel Xeon E3-1230 V2 for my new FreeNAS build.

- Ran MemTest for 96 hours with no errors at all.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Was worried these would not work with the SUPERMICRO MBD-X9SCM-F-O because they are not on the approved list, but they are running just fine.

5 out of 5 eggsCrucial 16GB CT2KIT102472BD160B - Works Great in a Lenovo TS-140

Pros: - Good Price for ECC Unbuffered PC3-12800 Server Memory.
- Higher Performance than the stock Memory Modules.
- Gave a memory speed WEI score with W7 of 7.6 vs 7.3 for the stock Samsung and Hynix memory modules.
- Compatible with 1.5 volt memory modules.
- Works Great in a Lenovo TS-140 Server.
- PnP for my application.

Cons: - None at this time.

Other Thoughts: I had some extra slots on the M.B. of a Lenovo Thinkserver TS-140 server that I am setting up to run V.M.'s. The memory in the machine was CL11 and 1.5 volt ECC unbuffered DIMM's from Samsung and Hynix. The BIOS on this server does not allow any adjustment of either voltage or latency so it can be finicky about the memory used. I picked these Crucial modules because they were a very good price for server memory and I have good success with Crucial in the past. I went to the Crucial website and these modules were marked as compatible.

I was somewhat concerned that these modules would not be compatible with the stock 1.5 volt CL 11 modules since these were 1.35 volts CL11 modules. Just to ensure the modules worked by themselves, I removed the stock modules and put these Crucial DIMM's in the #2 & #4 slots then powered up the server. The server loaded the BIOS and booted the OS with no problems. Both modules were recognized and had no errors.

After turning off the power and unplugging the server, I installed two 4GB Samsung 1.5v modules in the #1 & #3 slots then powered up the server. Again, it loaded the BIOS and booted the Win7 OS with no problems. I re-ran the WEI test and the memory speed score increased from 7.3 to 7.6 for the new modules. An increase that I did not expect but is probably from the lower voltage modules.

The modules have been running in the server 24/7 for about a month now and are working fine with no indication of failure.

I am fully satisfied with these Crucial ECC UDIMM's. The price was right and the performance increase was appreciated. I recommend them.
