5 out of 5 eggsVery good RAM with overclock potential

Pros: I got 2 sticks (16GB) for under $130 during Thanks Giving Black Friday. It runs well under stock speed 1866 but I had it overclocked and let it run for 2 days without any errors. I got it back to stock speed after that... overclocking RAM was a fools errand; speed gain was undistinguishable. However having an option to overclock is better than not having it.

Cons: None that I've found so far... They just work!

Other Thoughts: People who are complaining about this RAM... I have one word for you... Research!!! You have to check if the RAM is compatible with your Motherboard!!! The voltage, Cas Latency and timing all has to match your Motherboard specification. Usually I find that people only check the Type (DDR 3...etc) and Pin number (240 pin... etc.) before purchasing the RAM (only to complain later about how it's not working). Without realizing their own stupidity they blame the motherboard or the RAM and give a 1 or 2 Eggs. It's very unfortunate that good product gets lower ratings because it...

1 out of 5 eggs6 failed sticks. horrible RAM

Pros: None. It never worked

Cons: 6 sticks all failed

Other Thoughts: I originally bought 3 sticks of this RAM on a black friday special. My computer ran fine with them when I had them running MUCH slower than their advertised speeds. So I returned them. I got my 3 replacement sticks today and had the same exact issue. Everything runs fine only if I severely under-clock this RAM. Now I have to send it back to Crucial, costing me even more money in shipping and over a month after I bought my RAM I still have nothing to show for it.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

We're sorry to hear our memory is not running at the rated speeds and causing issues. Please contact our support, it sounds more like a compatibilty issue so your configuration and setup details will help us determine what's going on. We also can offer cross shipping directly to the consumer if needed but it does require a credit card number. Our support can be reached at 1-800-336-8896 option #2 or online at www.crucial.com/help.

Regards,
Crucial

1 out of 5 eggsNot functioning at all

Pros: Good price to performance

Cons: case makes ram incompatible with non close liquid cooled cpu coolers

Other Thoughts: Plugged it in, and my motherboard couldn't use it. It sees it, but doesn't use it. I do have windows 7 pro and it's just a problem with ram. Even tried turning down frequency, still nothing.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Nice

Pros: Fast High Density Memory 1.5V so no over volting necessary compared to what it replaced(2*4 GB sticks)

Cons: Just one stick, but in my case only one of the first pair of my DDR3 slots work, so for me this 1 gold stick was lifesaver

Other Thoughts: my EVGA 790i is aging and Crucial was the approved memory for the 2000 MHZ settings when the board came out, this one definitely works up to its advertised speeds

5 out of 5 eggsSolid RAM

Pros: Clocked at 2133MHz right out of the box. Good subtimings/latency specs.

Cons: Like others have said, more orange than yellow. A problem if you are trying to match a yellow scheme.

Other Thoughts: Motherboard recognized at 1333MHz on first boot, had to manually enable XMP.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great memory for the price. XMP profile worked flawlessly on my AMD processor and 990FX chipset. My particular hardware will not allow me to run four chips at 1866, so I upgraded to two of these and everything works extremely well.

Cons: None.

4 out of 5 eggspleasantly surprised

Pros: Along with the price on sale
low profile
all sticks working well as 4x8=32 gigs

Cons: sharp as heck on the top ( I sliced my pinky and bleed all over the place

Other Thoughts: as I game on this ram im talking about and I set the bios to automatic for most items, after doing so I noticed that my max 5 extreme auto set the speed to 2144 with timings of 11-12-11-31-2 and in aida basic paid version I get 31870 which is right in tune with most 2133 ram kits

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: -Fast
-Inexpensive (ordered on BF)
-32GB

Cons: I had to update my BIOS and manually change the timings to get it to run. XMP profile caused bootloops.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: -Looks good
-Was cheap with Black Friday deals

Cons: Will not post @ anything higher than 1333. I have tried XMP profile and manual settings. I am currently using an ASRock Extreme4Gen3 P67 motherboard.

I have tested all 4 sticks I have ordered individually, same result with each one.

Other Thoughts: I am upgrading my motherboard/cpu soon. Maybe the RAM just doesn't play nice with my particular motherboard.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

Please contact our support at 1-800-336-8896 or online at www.crucial.com/help and we'll take a look to see if you have notes on your motherboard or assist in troubleshooting. There may be a BIOS update from your motherboard manufacturer if you haven't tried that already. We offer limited lifetime warranty on our memory so please feel free give us a call for help.

Regards,
Crucial

5 out of 5 eggsGood Value

Pros: Price - Got it with the Black Friday special. This low profile DRAM fits nicely under my Phanteks PH-TC14PE with a few additional mm's of space left. Memtest ran without any issues.

Cons: The blade or heat speader on top may break skin if improperly handled or while trying to fit the Product in snug places. Shipped in a Bubble mailer envelope and left in my mailbox by USPS!

Other Thoughts: I had to manually configure the BIOS to recognize the 1866 profile.
