1 out of 5 eggsDidn't make it one year as light use JOBD for a workstation that got used like two times a week. Warranty replacements are broken as well.

Pros: - Worked well when it worked.
- Customer service was nice.

Cons: What happened:

- I have two of 512GB ssds and they both died at the same time. Tried in 4 different computers with different controllers (from intel chipset to server controllers) under ACHI, IDE etc... They were dead.
- Tried powercycling the SSD's according to crucials support site several times and once for the customer service rep. (why does the controller need to be powercycled anyway?) They were still dead.
- Called customer service and they acted like this had never happened before. Got RMA package quickly and was send two M550's in under a week.
- These were refurb replacement warranty SSDs but they look like someone had been using them for hockey pucks in the warehouse. Scratched and dented all over. Dirty as well. I can deal with that.
- Refurbs are as dead as the originals and I'm not the only one dealing with this.

Other Thoughts: Unless I call them and they send me brand new drives that work, I'm keeping the 1 egg rating and never buying another product from Crucial again. I will also be considering this service when purchasing Micron products for my day job. Will update if I get any other information but, I'd avoid SSD's made by crucial for a while. All other brands of SSD's we have purchased have worked like champs.

4 out of 5 eggsGood SSD, Performs well

Pros: I've had this SSD for a year now and it's still running well. There's no drop off in performance yet. There are faster drives out there, but you'll be paying a premium for them.

Cons: Could definitely be like $30 cheaper these days. I actually paid less for this 2 years ago

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great SSD for the price. Going from a 7200rpm drive to this was a huge eye opener.

Cons: Wasn't cheaper... Not its fault.

5 out of 5 eggsSOLID!

Pros: Price and durability. I am not searching for the "top speeder" as most SSDs are way faster than HDD. However, being a Mac user that I am looking for a company which would continue to "update" the firmware when needed. Crucial is the one I chose. Glad I did.

Cons: Wish I could find one.

Other Thoughts: In this household, there are 5 PCs (2 Windows 10 Pro and 3 Windows 7 Ultimate), 3 Ubuntu 12.04 (64 bit) and 4 Mac Minis (plus one MacBook Air that I can not use 2.5" SSD).
After years playing SSDs with various systems, I am glad I chose Crucial SSDs for my systems. The disk speed test is not as important as "durability" when you tried other brand of SSD on Mac. One more - TRIM is supported now after 10.10.4!! Crucial once again scored good on all my systems!

4 out of 5 eggsSweet

Pros: Excellent drive in terms of read speed. No noted consistency problems while using more than 50% of drive space.

Cons: No Crucial software suite/ tool box. Crucial rally needs to step it up on this issue to enable easier Firmware updates (at the least).

Write speeds are faster than an HDD but do not compare well to the offering of another brand's mid-range SSD. Also notice a (small) drop in performance of write speeds after hitting the 50% mark in drive space usage. Not a deal breaker by far.

Other Thoughts: This drive is excellent as my secondary/games SSD and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
I would, however, not recommend buying this drive unless the MX200 version is unavailable immediately and you need an SSD NOW!!!

5 out of 5 eggsMX100 512GB - Fully Recommend

Pros: Running great, with speeds as advertised. Does not run too hot unlike some other SSDs on the market. Have had it about half a year now on my primary desktop that gets a lot of daily use. Game maps load faster and it has greatly improved my start up time.

Cons: None so far.

5 out of 5 eggsWow

Pros: Absolutely everything about it is a pro. Compared to even a 10k RPM HDD, it's more energy efficient, it's quieter, it's WAY faster, it prolongs my battery life, etc etc etc... I couldn't be any happier with my upgrade. My laptop starts up in seconds, even with a handful of memory intensive programs starting when Windows does, and on Win7 at that. I believe I clocked it at 14 seconds if I remember right. Now that I have Win 10, it's unstoppable as a main drive. It reduces strain while playing big games and using large programs when running from the SSD. And unlike other models, this drive doesn't have any firmware that you need to mess with.

Cons: Nothing that I can personally think of.

Other Thoughts: It's a big step up when compared to a conventional HDD. I can't go as far to say it's better than other SSDs, as this is the only one I've personally owned, so I have nothing to compare it to.

5 out of 5 eggsThe sweet spot

Pros: This drive hits the sweet spot for performance, size and reliability. Been using it for over 6 months, and I've had no problems and seems just as zippy as the day I installed it. Plus at 500 GBs I can have all my programs installed on it without worry.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsLove Crucial

Pros: I've purchased a few of these, not a hiccup yet. Run fast, seem reliable. Using them for primary boot disks.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Work great on Win 7/8.
