5 out of 5 eggsAs Expected

Pros: Functional
Holding strong

Cons: None after three years.

Other Thoughts: It's shrouded in thin alloy, but that doesn't make it indestructible. That being said, the USB flanges can bend if crushed (but easily fixed), and it's not necessarily as sturdy as an actual key.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Durable, Very Dependable

Pros: Durable, dependable, stands up well to rough usage and conditions.

Cons: Case could be made somewhat stronger, an attached terminal cover would be nice.

Other Thoughts: This has been the best and most useful flash device I've ever owned. I am a technician with a clientéle of about 700. I use this stick to carry useful tools, utilities, diagnostic files, links to useful sites and documentation related to my profession.

This device is particularly useful in that it attaches to my key-ring, ensuring that I have it with me at all times; like the country doctor of old, I'm often called upon to diagnose or repair computers when in unlikely situations, once someone figures out that I am a technician.

A secondary (but important) benefit for me is that, being attached to my keyring, it is impossible for me to inadvertently forget it at a clients residence or place of business, as I can't drive away without it.

My current one has been with me for almost 5 years and has lived in my pockets, along with keys, change and other miscellaneous items and has been subjected to the treatment accorded to most key-rings and never once has it malfunctioned or required reformatting.

I would unhesitatingly recommend this device. It isn't all that often that I can, without reservation, give a five-star rating to a product; it is a pleasure to do so in this case.

2 out of 5 eggsCorrupt and You have to pay...

Pros: I love the size of this thing. It's also really durable. When it worked, I had it on my key chain. It was really nice having a 16GB dive with me at all times. I was surprised at how often I used it because I never really thought I needed one all the time.

Cons: It was corrupt from the beginning. At first I had to format it every other time I plugged it in. I used it on several different computers, so I know it wasn't the computers. Eventually, it got so bad that the entire computer would lock up when it was inserted, and immediately respond/resume when it was pulled out. I tried formatting it in Windows XP, 7, and 8, and Mac OSX, and even some weird linux live boot stuff...

The worst part of all is that when I RMA'd it with Lacie, they made me pay for the return shipping, and they forced me to send it in a box. They said that sending it in an envelope (total cost of about $0.50) would risk damaging the unit and voiding the warranty. It had to be in a box (total cost of around $5.00) with bubble wrap to protect it. This was what made me the most mad.

Other Thoughts: I'm sure I just got a bad unit, and most of them work fine, but in my opinion, I shouldn't have had to have paid to send it back to Lacie, and I shouldn't have had to pay for a BOX.

I'll update this review if/when my new unit arrives.

5 out of 5 eggsawesome watch

Pros: Solar powered, auto setting, multi time zone, shows UTC on face. This watch is awesomely complicated, yet seemingly refined and subdued in execution. And the price just can't be beat.

Cons: The watch is awesomely complicated. It's a blessing and a curse.

Other Thoughts: Newegg and it partner delivered this one without problem, as usual. After finding this watch locally (more $$), I found it here and could not pass it up. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good all around, not sickeningly flashy watch.

5 out of 5 eggsMust have for IT professionals

Pros: Very solid design
Takes a beating
Works fast
Software included was pretty sweet

Cons: It wasn't cheaper, and doesn't cook bacon.

Other Thoughts: I have known a few people who had these for years with heavy use and abuse and they have not failed them yet.

5 out of 5 eggsNot even my mom can kill it! (so far...)

Pros: -Strong/Durable, Elegant, Functional.
-Acceptable write speeds.
-Well Priced.

Cons: -"Protection Clip" is easy to lose, but it does not seem necessary.

Other Thoughts: My mom is a killer of USB Flashdrives. After purchasing an 8gb LaCie IamaKey for myself and seeing first hand how strong it was, I decided it was time to get her something not even she could accidentally destroy.

So far, so good. It functions, she no longer misplaces her flash drive, and I even made a clip using a "Lobster-claw Clasp" for it so she can easily attach/detach it from her key-chain.

All-in-all a great product that even she not yet been able to damage/destroy. I recommend it to everyone in need of a sturdy USB Flashdrive.

5 out of 5 eggsSeems good so far

Pros: Very sturdy. Very thin. Very solid feeling. Mine didn't come with a cap, and I really don't care about that. It works fine without one and the connectors aren't giving me the impression that they're going to corrode very easily. Transfer speeds seem reasonable, though I haven't measured them. Even if they were a bit on the low side I'd still buy it because of the easy key form factor.

Cons: None as of yet, I just hope it lasts longer than some of the review of the smaller versions pointed out.

Other Thoughts: As long as it lasts, the price seems well worth it. Definitely grab one if you get the chance.

5 out of 5 eggsLove this!

Pros: I've had this on my keychain for 4 months now and have have zero complaints. Works everytime I need it, there's no way it could fall off. Perfect design, fits all of my needs.

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: I wish I hadn't wasted all that money on the other 3 thumbdrives I had prior to this one that have fallen off or broken because of cheap plastic loops that connect them to your keychain.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: Works well. I love that it attaches to my keychain. The write speeds aren't too slow. It has some LaCie/TrueCrypt software to make a 4GB encrypted container (file) for files you want to encrypt. It has software for Mac and PC. You can also open this encrypted volume in Linux with standard TrueCrypt.

Cons: None
