5 out of 5 eggsNo problems=win for wintec!

Pros: I installed it with no issues, it worked perfectly, and memtest86+ returned no errors!! Great memory at a cheap price.

Cons: Had to manually set voltage to 1.90 in bios in order for it to be detected as ddrII800, probably the bios' fault.

1 out of 5 eggs2nd stick going back for RMA

Pros: None.

Cons: Two sticks each failed within a month, caused plenty of data corruption. Not even worth the postage to send back for RMA now. Just avoid this product.

4 out of 5 eggsFirst one died second one running fine

Pros: Price and seems to be functioning fine for about a year. now that I had to replace one stick.

Cons: I first purchased two sticks and one of them died. Since I bought my whole PC at that time, the BSOD was not specific enough to tell me exactly what the issue was. I had to test the machine by removing one stick at a time. Not too hard just a pain. Newegg is not that great for doing returns. They don't make it easy.

1 out of 5 eggs3 of 4 DOA

Pros: Inexpensive & works well, when it works at all.

Cons: 3 of the last 4 I've ordered over the last month came DOA (Dead on Arrival). As a professional system builder, wasting time on defective parts cuts into the bottom line. I can not in any way justify ordering any more of these things.

4 out of 5 eggsGood memory, but BEWARE UPGRADERS

Pros: I've had this memory working on a mid-end workstation for over 6 months with no problem at all. Purchased one stick in spring of 2008 and it has worked (and still works) fine since then.

Cons: Decided to add another stick of this to the same build , got another stick, exactly the same, same product number etc. HOWEVER, apparently Wintec has changed the architecture of the RAM, (actual chips on just one side, PCB is different, etc), and the new stick is NOT COMPATIBLE with the system.

Other Thoughts: This will not be a problem if you are buying this for a new build (hence only one egg off), but if you are upgrading and you first bought this before the summer-fall of 2008 keep this in mind.
