Works on picky Intel WHMKR

Pros: It works on the picky intel mobo WHMKR which is critical of voltage, timing, and standards. I've tried Kingston and they always work but were super expensive. I've also tried A-Data and they did not meet the intel specifications and had to RMA it. Price is dirt cheap compared to Kingston.

Cons: Default timing based on the auto configuration from BIOS shows 5-5-5-18 timing. SPD reads it as 6-5-5-18. I manually set and ran it as 5-5-5-12 timing and has been working fine for 3 days now with no problems. Seems to be stable and detects it as 1.8v unlike some of the other overclocked memories out there.

Other Thoughts: Definitely would take a chance at another stick if i needed more then 2 GB of memory. Although i can always rely on Kingston, for almost half the price, its worth buying it.

Pros: works with dg965wh motherboard at the rated speed of 800 MHz out of the box. cheaper than kingston.

Cons: none for now.

Other Thoughts: I was looking for RAM that had 1.8V rating for the supposedly temperamental dg965wh motherboard -- and this worked perfectly.

Pros: Works fine. Happy to have more RAM now.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I learned a bit about OS and 32bit vs. 64bit after this experience. I already had 2gb ram with Vista 32bit. When I added an additional 2gb for a total of 4gb, Vista sees the 4gb, but will only utilize 3.325gb. I could've saved some money, oh well...
