1 out of 5 eggsDefective

This review is from: Wintec Professional PLUS 64GB Secure Digital Extended Capacity (SDXC) Flash Card Model 3FMSD64GBU1PI-R

Pros: None

Cons: Used this for the first time in my new Canon 7d MarkII and took several test pictures. My computer said it couldn't read it that it needed formatted.I had formatted this card in my camera as I do with all my cards.Well I lost all my pictures and it showed a capacity of only 28.3GB on this 64GB card!!! I have 7 16GB Wintec Professional cards and never a problem! I guess this is why they were on sale.

Other Thoughts: Can't trust using it now!

This review is from: Wintec Professional PLUS 64GB Secure Digital Extended Capacity (SDXC) Flash Card Model 3FMSD64GBU1PI-R

Pros: Fast enough. Cheap. Works in Asus Chromebook

Cons: Probably not the fastest.. writes seem to be 10-20 meg/sec, but good enough considering the price.

Other Thoughts: it is exfat formatted, so watch for compatibility with older systems

Pros: Fast reading card as expected for a Class 1. cant complain and records perfectly and loads up fast.

Other Thoughts: I am glad this card is not DOA. reads fast for a class 1 and it is perfect with my action cam which i use with my action cam while riding my motorcycle on daily basis. cant wait to get a Class 10 which will be a great addition to my cards. once again, Thanks NewEgg for fast shipping and great sales.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks Great in Canon T4i

This review is from: Wintec Professional PLUS 64GB Secure Digital Extended Capacity (SDXC) Flash Card Model 3FMSD64GBU1PI-R

Pros: Lost cost per GB. Limited lifetime warranty. When tested using USB 2.0 reader and CrystalMark I got around 20MB averaged writes on the sequential tests.

In actual use in Canon T4i, the card held its own and occassionally surpassed SanDisk Extreme (Class 10/ 16GB card) in maximum burst rate and clearing camera buffer to allow subsequent shots. Since the T4i uses UHS-1, I suspect the camera is taking full advantage of the card's potential.

Cons: Lower speeds than claimed when used in card reader. Even a 2.0 USB reader should have exceeded numbers I got when using CrystalMark across multiple tests. Didn't include a plastic storage case. Remember those?

No long term usage stats or large number of reviews available yet to determine durability.

Other Thoughts: Card is noticeably lighter in weight than some of my other brands like Transcend, Lexar and SanDisk. Plastic seems more fragile. Fit and finish at seams not as fine as a SanDisk or Transcend. Though speeds in reader could be higher, I am satisfied that the card is able to use the full speed of my DSLR.

3 out of 5 eggsyour mileage may vary

This review is from: Wintec Professional PLUS 64GB Secure Digital Extended Capacity (SDXC) Flash Card Model 3FMSD64GBU1PI-R

Pros: it is ok. not great and not as claimed for me.

Cons: Speed for me is a drawback. I move large files around. 10-30GB each file. my card is formatted NTFS. For files between 20-30 gb - some thing do with some regularity. I note the start and end time do the "simple" math and get an average speed. These how long it take measurements routinely show that I am getting read of 38.4mbps & write 20.4mbps, it varies some this was a recent set of data. So that is approx 2/3 of the read speed claim and 1/2 of the write speed claim. USB3.0 for the measurements. Modern system with parts from newegg. Maybe it is my card adapter that is the problem, hard to know with out buying a bunch and testing them. I have better thngs to do.

Other Thoughts: It seems that all the manufacture's play this "UP TO" xyz speed. They lead you to believe you will get the claimed speed. I have never bumped into any details on the exact circumstances of how they actually collect the data. Could be marketing folks involved with these claims.
