5 out of 5 eggsGood Solid Ram

Pros: Installed on my brothers no name computer with a SiS 661MX/FX/GX + 962 motherboard on a clean wipe and newly installed Windows XP Pro with a Intel Celeron-2700. Computer went from stock 512mb to 1.5gb, computer is working flawlessly and no issue have arisen since the installation of the ram and new system. Computer is only used for surfing the web and listing of music so this ram was perfect.!

5 out of 5 eggsReactivated the beast

Pros: Made my friends old PC run like a normal machine not a stone age behemoth.

Cons: I told it a really funny joke and it didn't laugh.
Hurt my feelings.

Other Thoughts: Probably will allow her to squeeze another year out of the aging PC.

3 out of 5 eggsFailed after two years

Pros: Cheap, Large Chip at the time, Lifetime Warranty

Cons: Failed.

Other Thoughts: Will have to wait and see how the return process goes. Bought it April 2008 to upgrade a Dell Dimension 2400 that only had 256MB RAM. Paid $28 and free shipping through Newegg. Price and size were right. I bought this being cheap at the time. I guess you get what you pay for. I typically buy Crucial and Kingston at work and in 15 years and hundreds of memory sticks later I only had one Kingston go back and 0 Crucial. I have learned my lesson and will only purchase what I know works. I will not buy this brand again.

5 out of 5 eggsGood stuff

Pros: We usually order Gskill memory exclusively as it has been very reliable and compatible in the past, however these were far cheaper and too good a deal to pass up.

We haven't had a single problem yet. We have installed these in many different systems of all ages without any issues.

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: A lot of times the larger chips in the 1GB/2GB range have problems working with older systems, but these appear to work very well in both new and older systems.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy upgrade

Pros: Standard (and easy) install process, BIOS detected memory change on startup and updated, reboot and presto - memory upgrade from 1G to 2G on my old Dell Dimension 2400. No problems since and the machine has been running great.

Cons: None to date.

Other Thoughts: Used to have periodic page faults/cannot read from address with my old RAM and no longer getting them after the upgrade. This lends credence to my belief that my old RAM was failing/faulty. Well worth the investment.

4 out of 5 eggsNo problem so far

Pros: "Cheap" is not the correct word here. Let's say "Best Deal" from Newegg after MIR. Performance definitely improved because this memory I added to existing one.

Cons: No problem so far.

Other Thoughts: Initially I was doubtful about MIR because UPC code is sticker on Memory chip which says "Warranty VOID if removed", took a photocopy of UPC and sent paperwork for rebate. Today I got email from rebate processing center that my rebate is approved and I will get VISA card. Cool.
