Good warranty, weak quality

Pros: I bought 1GB sticks for a HTPC and it worked flawlessly for about a year. Lifetime warranty!

Cons: The first set of 1GB sticks went back after a year. WinTec took an RMA and sent me a set set right away. I have no complaints about the process and was very impressed by how easy it was to get the lifetime warranty honored. So far as I could tell, they sent me two brand new sticks. I put these in my machine and within a month got the same issues. Decided to take the loss and replace with higher rated RAM. Have just installed it, but a RAM test reports that it is working with no issue.

Pros: Slapped it into a Dell Dimension 4700 running Fedora 10 and it works like a charm. No problems anywhere. Pretty good deal for the price.

Cons: Didn't come with heat spreader as advertised.

Other Thoughts: Though its missing the heat spreader, I don't really care to return it. I'm enjoying it too much.
