4 out of 5 eggsJust Right

Pros: Worked right away in W7 for SD and USB. Nice, reserved look to it.

Cons: Box came with SOHOUSB branding. I thought I bought Koutech?

Other Thoughts: Curious marketing by Koutech, or is it SOHOUSB? Are you on top of this, NEWEGG?

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: - Plug and Play, no software was needed to get the device up and running (Running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit)

- Fit nice and snug into my 3.5" bay

- White/Black interchangeable face plates is a nice addition

Cons: - The SD cards will protrude about 2/3 the way out. Obviously this is how the device was designed, however it's something noteworthy you may need to watch

- Maybe this was just my particular SD card, but when I would plug it into the slot (it will be a tight fit), it would push the card's LOCK switch slightly into place, preventing my computer from reading it. Not really an issue, I simply just removed the card, switched off the Lock, reinserted, and all was well

Other Thoughts: All in all this was a great buy and it was shipped super fast, two days before the estimated delivery time even. For the money this is an awesome buy and worked 100% out of the box. I immediately uploaded a bunch of pictures from my SD card that I loaded the night before. without any issues

1 out of 5 eggs2 Bad ones in a row

Pros: none -

Cons: Defective, this I/O unit will work for a short time and then fail. NewEgg should not sell trash like this. This is my second defective unit.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as Expected

Pros: It works as expected, although I have not tested all ports.

Cons: Sucks in dust like a vacuum. I think my case fans are creating a bit of a negative pressure, and the reader is sucking in air (and dust) through its ports.

Other Thoughts: Would buy again, but would prefer a full sized drive with more ports, or some other accessory (fan controls?). But it is what it is, and it's very good at it.

5 out of 5 eggsKoutech read

Pros: Inexpensive reader that does the trick.

Cons: I was a little confused at first for what driver I should download from the disc that came with it. if you keep going you just select the picture for the reader that you have.

Other Thoughts: I don't have fancy speed reports or anything like that but it gets the pictures of the micro sd card from my phone/camera. price got it all of the eggs.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Purchase

Pros: I got this back in March 2010 and have been using it regularly since (never used the XC nor CF slots though).

Has never given me any problems and still works just as well as it did the first day I first got it.

No annoying LEDs that stay on 24/7... the single solid green light turns on only when you insert a memory stick/card.

Cons: Only con and its really just me nitpicking but you notice the beige/tan-colored inside of the MS Duo slot (the rest of the front of my case is black).

Other Thoughts: Thought it was strange how it didn't say "Koutech" anywhere on the product or in the packaging. So I actually e-mailed Koutech when I got this back in March 2010 and they assured me this was their product: "First of all, thank you for choosing Koutech product. SOHOUSB is one of our products branding, and it is 100% Koutech’s product you have there."

Anyway, not much more to say other than that this thing works, its been working, and the company replied to my e-mail within the same day I wrote them.
Flawless victory.

1 out of 5 eggsGreat for awhile

Pros: Easy to install and very fast to find the inserted card unlike my previous Roswell that took forever to come up.

Cons: 7 moths old and it will not longer read SD cards, the light comes on and the computer shows all the slots in explorer but does not even show the card when inserted. The 2 year warranty is pretty much worthless as there is not info on where to call or send it too.

Other Thoughts: Stay away from this one

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for those who don't have dell monitors!

Pros: Very easy to install and my computer instantly pick it up. Reads all kind of cards and gives you a small green blinking light for confirmation. Plus the front panel is sleek looking black color. Fits perfectly with my computer case.

Cons: Only use this for the SD card part. Never once use the other parts though that wasn't the reason for the minus egg. The Mini-SD reader doesn't work but just put it into a Micro-SD reader and it will work.
