2 out of 5 eggsNot pleased

Pros: As fast as it says it is. Easy to install and format. Tools that come with the drive are handy.

Cons: Died with the 8mb bug after several months. Had it replaced for free, but it's a pain to have to put up with that.

Other Thoughts: Would not store anything important on this drive. Good to install the OS on. Store all your pictures and other things in the cloud for peace of mind.

5 out of 5 eggsexcellence

Pros: fast. I didn't compare much with other drives, just bought this based on Intel reliability and that (at the time) the price, with rebate, was too good to pass up. on my win7 machine I can cold boot in under 1 minute. Current Windows Index is 7.4, but the drive is actually the faster part at 7.5.

Cons: price. for the space, you're paying nearly $2 per 1GB. and even then you don't get the full allotment once it's formatted. this isn't news, and not SSD only, but it's still a con.

Other Thoughts: Moving my data over was easy with the included data migration software. However, because of the limited space, I was forced to buy a larger drive. But because of the satisfaction I've had, I stayed with Intel SSD --- Newegg item N82E16820167122.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks well enough, don't expect any rebates

Pros: This drive is fast, and hasn't had any reliability issues. The increase in speed really shows when you're doing something that accesses tons of small files.

Cons: When I bought this, there was supposed to be a rebate. I probably wouldn't have bought it if it weren't for the rebate. Unfortunately, the rebate was denied even though I'd sent in the required documentation. I see that I'm not the only one this happened to.

The speed increase is also less drastic than I expected in everyday tasks. In part this is because, due to the fairly low capacity, most of my programs are still on my hard drive. While it might have been worth it at the rebate price, at the list price, this SSD is not worth the money.

Other Thoughts: I'm using this in a desktop that I built in December 2011. Along with this SSD as the boot drive, I'm also using a 2 TD Western Digital Caviar Green. I'm much happier with the value of the hard drives than the SSD.

5 out of 5 eggsStill Going Strong

Pros: FAST, FAST, FAST!
This is probably the single best speed upgrade for any computer
Haven't had any problems with it after 10 months of ownership.

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: I bought this drive along with a copy of 32 bit Windows 7 and installed both in my old Dell Dimension E520. I was blown away by the speed, amazing. I had previously upgraded the processor to a dual core and also maxed out the RAM, but this SSD made a bigger difference than any other upgrade I've ever done. Trust me, you won't be disappointed with this. Also, after 10 months no issues at all.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very fast and works well with my computer. Great for sticking your operating system on to, as well as any other high priority programs. With a quick boot motherboard computer restarts in about 20 seconds.

Cons: Size can be an issue depending on what you want to do with it, but thats what a HDD is for.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat drive

Pros: Got this drive on sale a while back. Solid performance and has not given me a problem yet. Updated the firmware and i was good to go. Blazing fast boot time and programs feel like instantaneous launch. Also came with desktop adapter and cables which was nice.

Cons: Sata 3 drives are cheaper than this now

Other Thoughts: Overall a great drive and very reliable.

5 out of 5 eggsIncredible improvement

Pros: It can't even be explained how much faster a SSD is than a conventional hdd. Installing your OS on a low capacity SSD is probably the most effective upgrade that can be done now that most computers come with 4GB+ RAM.

Cons: None, the device is still running strong

Other Thoughts: You might also be able to keep a couple of your favorite games on a SSD this size as well. Just don't put too much on it.
