5 out of 5 eggsQuiet, Fast, affordable, and reliant

Pros: Quiet and affordable and the speeds on this SSD are considerable faster and quieter then my old 7.2 HDs. Hasn't failed me yet and you don't have to wait for it to spin up or thinking there's a jet in your computer with all the noise.

Cons: Non Yet

5 out of 5 eggsNo Problems

Pros: Quiet, fast, affordable for a nice OS\main program drive. I program, play games, and photoedit and this drive is consistently fast compared to my old 7.2k rpm drives. No wait for spin ups or that annoying drive sounds.

Cons: None yet

5 out of 5 eggsINTEL is number 1

Pros: Fast and Reliable.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I have four INTEL SSD's in two comuters, a laptop, and a netbook. INTEL are my 1st choice always. Never had one single problem. I prefer the Intel 510 Series (Elm Crest) over the faster Cherryville, because the Elm Crest is more reliable. Both are very fast, so I
would rather take more reliability over more speed.

5 out of 5 eggsvery reliable (4 months of use)

Pros: Fast and reliable. This SSD made my 6 year old Thinkpad X60 tablet fly (even when it's only running at SATA I mode). No problem with waking up from standby.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: The "Read" test on HD_Speed program yield 95-100MB/s on this (as a system drive running at SATA I speed).

5 out of 5 eggsgreat

Pros: works 277seq read-100seq write after modification to win 7 64.

Cons: got it cheap on sale plus rebate when not on sale expensive.

Other Thoughts: rebate came after 8 weeks

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great, rebate success

Pros: Pretty fast, but granted Ive never had a SSD before. Got my rebate back in just a couple of weeks with rush processing. No problem with well documented error of ~2 years ago.

Cons: Could be easier to install.

5 out of 5 eggsFast little succa

Pros: Fast, but that was to be expected, moving up from a spinner. Came with mounting hardware. Came with the latest firmware, and installation was a breeze.
Makes an excellent boot drive.
Download the SSD Toolbox and enjoy!

Cons: Still expensive for the capacity.

Other Thoughts: Should have made the jump to light speed sooner!

5 out of 5 eggsgood performance

Pros: Good performance. Installed it with P4, intel motherboard, 3 GB RAM, and running win. 7 pro. After pass self testing, in average it takes 29 to 35 secs to see win. 7 logon window.

Cons: N/A

5 out of 5 eggsVery pleased.

Pros: Much faster than the 7200rpm 2.5" HDD it replaced. Made this aging Dell Latitude D830 a pleasure to use again. Disk head thrashing is a thing of the past! Makes the laptop much quieter and a little cooler. I no longer panic when the laptop gets jarred or bumped.

Cons: High average selling price

Other Thoughts: I have read many horror stories about SSDs in general. This led me to pay a little more for an Intel SSD with Intel-designed controller for this, my first, SSD. After two months of relatively heavy daily use, I have to say that I'm loving this drive.

5 out of 5 eggspretty decent for first-time purchase

Pros: Purchased this along with a Kingston SSDNow V100 Series 64GB SSD. Even though the Kingston has must faster write speed, this has a better overall performance. Great bargain when purchased with the rebate.

Running Win7 x64 no problems whatsoever. Great performance. The toolbox software that comes with it is great. Since I'm a newbie with SSD's, I didn't have to go searching for tools to run checkups on my SSD. It's all included. 80GB is plenty of space to run an OS and all the programs you want. All my data is stored on a SATA.

Cons: Didn't come with an adapter for the 3.5" bay.

Other Thoughts: Rebate was not an issue and receiving it was extremely fast.

Just a side note, someone else posted a review saying you must have AHCI enabled in BIOS for TRIM to work. I don't have that option in my BIOS and TRIM works for me. As a matter of fact, I believe TRIM is part of the function of the OS. It's automatically enabled in Windows 7. You can check if TRIM is enabled by opening Command Prompt (Run as administrator) and enter the following command:

fsutil behavior query DisableDeleteNotify

If the result is '0' TRIM is enabled.
