1 out of 5 eggsFail

Pros: It's faster than a 5400 standard drive.

Cons: Failed after ~4 months

Other Thoughts: I needed a bigger drive so 4 months ago I bought this drive and spent a ton of time installing windows, getting all my apps moved over from vista, getting all my docs moved over, etc. It's dead now, "device error" according to my x300 bios. I put my previous drive back in for now, but the time wasted makes me ill.

1 out of 5 eggsNewegg fail

Pros: Seems like a nice drive

Cons: Seems like a nice drive, but I wouldn't know. Newegg has been d*cking me around and I have yet to receive it 10 days later (so much for overnight shipping with rush processing). If you need it fast find another retailer.

5 out of 5 eggsWarranty changed to 5 years

Pros: Intel is a proven leader in the SSD market. Not necessarily the fastest drives on the planet, but still a solid value.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I just wanted to post that it appears Intel has changed the warranty. It is now 5 years. However, they are basing the new warranty on the wear factor for the drive. See the new warranty disclaimer on the details tab for this item.

3 out of 5 eggsMeh

Pros: It's an SSD drive that stores my stuff and it hasn't caused any problems with Ubuntu.
Faster than the 5400RPM drive it's replacing.

Cons: 1 yr warranty because it's labeled OEM (instead of the standard 5yr). I guess the rumors are true: Intel doesn't support OEM's.
A little on the slow side for an SSD.
This tiny little thing consumes more power than the 5400 RPM drive it's replacing.

Other Thoughts: A couple of these were purchased on accident several months ago. After finding a 1.8" to 2.5" cradle/adapter, I have put these to use.
It works, but I wouldn't buy these again. The shorter warranty tells me that Intel thinks it's too much of a risk to back this product up--and that leads me to think these are inferior in quality to the standard 2.5" SSD's they manufacture under the same branding. This is kind of a big deal when you see that everyone else in the industry gives their competing drives a 3 year warranty, and the non-OEM labeled 1.8" Intel drives in the 320 series get a 5 year warranty.
Buy something else.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great!

Pros: Greatly improved speed over the old spinning hard drive.

Cons: Price. It's a little pricier than other SSDs but I have read quite a few reviews that tout the benefits of Intel so I went with this one anyway. No complaints.

2 out of 5 eggsExtended 5 yr warranty not avilable on 1.8" drives unline 2.5 " form factor drives

Pros: Reliable
Easy migration from G2 SSD

Cons: Extended warranty of 5 yrs not available on the 1.8" form factor

Other Thoughts: I own a Thinkpad T410s that originally came with a Intel 80GB G2 SSD, in 1.8" form factor.
Even though the 320 series was released around mid year , I had to wait until late October before I could find a retailer that had the 320 series drive in the 1.8" form factor. I was looking to upgrade to a 160 GB boot drive and use the old drive as a secondary drive in the ultra-bay. But the sad story doesn't end there ! Come to find out after purchasing and installing the drive that the drive I bought is what Intel calls an OEM drive ( no B or K in the serial part number) and therefore the same doesn't qualify for the extended 5 year warranty that is applicable on the 2.5" drives ! What a scam ! I am retail customer am I not _ so why wouldn't the same warranty aply across the board and certainly it is not my fault that the retail versions of this drive are not available anywhere on the planet . So why would I be penalized for paying retail price and yet being denied the extended warranty ?
