5 out of 5 eggsGreat SSD

Pros: Fast. Have windows loaded on it and it boots up almost as soon as I turn the power button on.

Cons: Price per GB is pretty high

Other Thoughts: I think there are better options on the market currently pricewise but overall this SSD has done what its supposed to to. No complaints

5 out of 5 eggsGood Product

Pros: Fast, reliable, and have had not issues with the device so far

Cons: Should've spent the extra dollars and bought a larger size, 60GB's is just too small for Windows 7 + programs

5 out of 5 eggsThe only SSD I will use

Pros: I'm an IT consultant. I am recommending Intel 520 SSDs over all other SSDs for the following reasons:
1. 5-year warranty
2. Intel SSD Toolkit = You can run this with Windows XP
3. Acronis Intel Edition = Free cloning
4. Very quick with SATA 2, BLAZING quick with SATA 3.
5. I've installed over 50 of these (including every PC my family owns), haven't had an issue yet.

Cons: None.

1 out of 5 eggsBSODs repeatedly while testing

Pros: fast

Cons: BSODs repeatedly when testing on a new Dell Optiplex 790 USFF with a clean install of Win 7 Pro x64. All diagnostics from Intel and other show the drive as being good. Error in Windows is "could not communicate with drive". Runs fine for a few hours but every time it eventually BSODs.

UPDATE: Called this in to Intel support in early May. Still have heard nothing back from them...

Other Thoughts: This is with all drivers & BIOS up to date on a stock out of the box system. Nothing special. Too bad because I wanted to buy 200 of these to replace every HDD in all the workstations at my company but I am leaning towards a Samsung 830 now.

5 out of 5 eggsBest SSD I've used

Pros: This is the most reliable SSD I've bought so far. Intel definitely has a strong line of SSDs. This thing is seriously fast!

Cons: None at all!

Other Thoughts: BIOS recognized it and Windows 7 recognized it as an SSD and automatically turned off defrag.

5 out of 5 eggsImpressive

Pros: crazy speed, load times, a must have

Cons: Dont think of any so far so good, maybe just price but it has gone down fairly good.

Other Thoughts: I will be buying a bigger one soon just because its that good.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

Pros: Installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit in 4 minutes 25 seconds, only slow down was a slow USB stick I was installing from but the SSD made short work of it. Installing programs is instantaneous as it doesn't have to move cyclinders to place files, literally no progress bars on installing programs its that quick.

Make sure you set it up as AHCI in BIOS and google how to configure Windows 7 for SSDs (optimize). After installing Windows 7, Office 2010, all my ASUS motherboard drivers and applications, and about 15 applications (averaging 50mb - 100mb) I had 35 gigabytes free. That is plenty of space and I knew that going in.

Again make sure you kill Hiberfil.sys, pagefile, and clear indexing and I went from only having 10 GB free to 35GB free.

Cons: Speeds aren't as promised but still a million times better than HDD so I won't subtract an egg for that.

Transfer Rate Minimum : 232.3 MB/sec
Transfer Rate Maximum : 379.6 MB/sec
Transfer Rate Average : 341.8 MB/sec
Access Time : 0.1 ms
Burst Rate : 258.1 MB/sec

Other Thoughts: My build:
i7-3770k
Nzxt Phantom case
Corsair H80 CPU Cooler
Intel 520 Series Cherryville SSD
16GB Corsair Vengeance RAM
Corsair Gold Series 850 Watt PSU
ASUS P8Z77-V Pro motherboard

5 out of 5 eggsIntel Quality

Pros: Intel quality reputation, five year warranty, great software utility, has 3.5 drive adapter

Cons: Cost

Other Thoughts: I haven't had any problems after a month of use. It's usually more expensive than the majority of ssd's but it has a great warranty and has good performance. If you are patient, you can often get it on sale for a good price.

5 out of 5 eggsIntel Reliability

Pros: -Came with 3.5" to 2.5" bracket, as well as SATA and power cables.
-Intel reliability.
-Intel Toolbox is the best SSD management software I've seen.
-Pretty fast, even if we're only using it on a SATA II port.
-5 year warranty?! Score.

Cons: -Price - Pretty expensive for a 60GB drive.
-Sandforce controller? Come on Intel! I know they're fast, but you're above that.

Other Thoughts: We got this drive as a secondary work space on one of our computers at work (the OS drive is still a HDD). We intensively process upwards of 100GB of data a day (Image files, RAW photos, HD videos, etc.). The majority of what we process is now done on this SSD, and it has decreased the time necessary by anywhere from 20-40%!

Great drive, but you're paying more money for typical Intel SSD tradeoffs -> Lower storage capacity (and sometimes speed) for extreme reliability and that warranty.
