5 out of 5 eggsGo SSD and go Intel!

Pros: Replaced WD Black drive as boot drive and has made a huge difference in boot up time and accessing applications. SSD Toolbox software is helpful as well. Definitely would recommend this drive and other Intel SSD drives based on this experience.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Cost can be slightly high when not on sale. If you can pick it up for around $1 per GB it is a steal!

Pros: Fast
Stable
Runs cool

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I use it as a boot drive for Windows 7. Computer boots in 13 seconds, I would love to see how fast it is on Win8.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Easy installation.
Quiet.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I've had this for over a year in a machine I built for emulating console games. I'm close to max on the storage, so it's time for an upgrade, but it's been a solid performer.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat SSD!

Pros: -Fast!
-Was well priced for the space at the time
-Intel quality
-Came with everything I needed to put it in a case with no 2.5" bays

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I bought this about a year ago while building my mom's PC and all she does is browse the web. My little sister plays Minecraft and everything loads incredibly quick! Prior to that, they were using some 5400 RPM 20 GB hard drive and this really reduced their expected wait time.

Pairing it with...
Intel Pentium G2020
4 GB DDR-1333 RAM
AMD Radeon HD 6450
Windows 7 Home 64 bit w/ SP1

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Fast! Windows 7 boots in less than 20 seconds, faster if I can remember and accurately type my password.

Cons: Maybe the memory size could be bigger, but I bought this just to boot Windows 7 and it is perfect. I load everything else onto my WD hard drive.

5 out of 5 eggsConsider!

Pros: Unlike other drives this box is loaded! Power cable converter, sata cable, 3.5 mounting bracket, screws, and of course the unnecessary but cool speed demon sticker. Also good directions. I didn't need them but have read complaints on other drives having shotty directions. I know the sticker comment degraded my reliability but I bought two of these one in a hp refurb desktop and one in a toshiba notebook. both computers have been running 6 months+ and run very fast with no failure. these are both xp machines but the boot time was reduced dramatically on both. I did not time them but rest assured they are fast. the response time is incredible. These aren't even the faster of the intel drives and I am still impressed. It will be hard for me not to buy an intel for my newest hand-me-down toshiba laptop.

Cons: warranty shorter than some other brands 3 years.

Other Thoughts: Don't know why people complain about brand premium in the review but already bought the item, or that it is too small. Who knowingly buys a 60GB drive to complain in their product review it is small. I knew what space it was and used accordingly.

5 out of 5 eggsMy First Choice

Pros: Speed, brand, SandForce Controller, and sale priced at just $59!!! Used in both desktops and laptops without a problem. Over 10 purchased in the past year and no bricks or failures so far.

Cons: None so far, but price has jumped.
Avoid the Intel controller found in SSD 330s that brick.
This SSD uses a Sandforce controller from LSI.

Other Thoughts: With laptops failing often within a year, I tell all my customers to keep their important data files on an external drive, server, or in their cloud storage. Then I offer to speed up their laptop or desktop with this drive. Desktops can always have a slave rotating drive installed for heavy storage of music and video. Even high end laptops have a second storage bay which can hold a large drive for backups and more storage.
This SSD is a good way to speed up your computer if storage capacity is not a problem.

5 out of 5 eggsVery worthwhile upgrade

Pros: + Can reduce OS boot times by more than 50%

+ Silent

+ Intel reliability

Cons: - 60GB is not a lot of space in this day and age, even for just OS partitions

- SSDs are still much more expensive per GB than traditional hard drives

Other Thoughts: I'd recommend using this only for OS partitions to significantly decrease your boot time. (If it's faster game loading you're after, you'll probably want more than 60GB.)

For best results, put your swap file/partition on a separate, traditional hard drive (not an SSD) and enable TRIM if your OS supports it.
