5 out of 5 eggsNice SSD!

Pros: How about a Windows 7 boot-up in 12 seconds flat from BIOS screen to login screen? 'Nuff said.

Cons: No cons in my opinion

1 out of 5 eggsRegret

Pros: It is silent.

Cons: It seems slower than the 5400 hd my laptop came with, even when comparing boot time. For the last six months I've experienced extreme latency/freezing/blue screen issues. I looked the other way until now, but after the 4 second delays I experienced between character strokes in Eclipse, I've had it. This thing is going in the garbage (if I don't decide to set it on fire) and I'm buying a reliable HDD.

Other Thoughts: This was actually the second SSD I got, after the first being defective. I've probably invested 40 hours between research, troubleshooting and formatting. Not worth it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat SSD but I had some tech trouble

Pros: It's quick. Boot time when I first installed Win 8 was ~18 seconds. Now with all background software running it's more like 30 seconds.

Cons: My system build was using this Intel 330 SSD as the boot drive. About two weeks in I suddenly got an "insert bootable media or select boot drive" DOS message when trying to turn on my desktop, and BIOS stopped detecting it. Thinking this SSD had bricked, I decided to return to mechanical and so I bought an HDD to replace it. I reinstalled Windows 8 on the HDD and was using the SSD as a slave drive, but for some reason Windows detected the SSD but BIOS did not. I decided to reinstall onto the SSD but the Windows installer would not let me. I ended up cleaning the SSD in diskpart and to my relief the SSD install directory finally became active. My master SSD and slave HDD combo has been working flawlessly ever since.

Other Thoughts: I run the trim optimization tool in the Intel SSD Toolbox from time to time.

5 out of 5 eggsFast drive.

Pros: It is an SSD, so that means it is fast.
Windows 8 loaded very quickly on my new build.

Cons: Is not as fast as other SSDs. It seems Intel traded speed for reliability. But that is ok by me.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well

Pros: Boots fast, loads games fast, no issues or crashes in the last few months of ownership. Using as boot drive in MSI GT 70 laptop in addition to the 750Gb disc.

Cons: Didn't come with hardware to install in laptop bay, had to superglue, but I knew it didn't come with hardware so no egg loss.

5 out of 5 eggsfast, as expected

Pros: Very fast (compared to an HDD), boots very quickly with Win8 on it. Literally seconds after POST this thing boots to the Win8 lock screen. File transfers are obviously much quicker than an SSD and loading times for apps installed on it are greatly reduced compared to an HDD.

Cons: The finish on the underside looked a little weird. Read other reviews that reference this. Not enough to take away an egg.

Other Thoughts: Couldn't be happier, put this in my new build and boots very quickly. File transfers are fast. So far so good, let's hope this thing keeps running well!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Super fast, with this as my boot drive instead of my old HDD, Windows 7 boots up nearly as fast as my monitor does. Also, comes with a bracket so it fits in the 3.5 slots in my case.

Cons: None

1 out of 5 eggsBAD EGG

Pros: Starts up windows plus all startup programs in around 60 seconds, (was 3 minutes before). Easy install and easy data migration software from Intel.

Cons: Became unstable after only 2 weeks of use, began hanging repeatedly. Is now blue-screening my computer on startup... Sending it back. Strange because it was given good reviews by other users.
