Very Expensive, but also very fast
This review is from: Intel DC S3700 Series Taylorsville SSDSC2BA800G301 2.5" 800GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Pros: Extremely fast I/O.
Cons: Price. One of the most expensive, if not the most expensive drive out there.
Other Thoughts: I don't personally own one of these, but at my work we purchased 5 of these drives and put them in a RAID 5 config for a NAS server we were building for our VMs. During benchmarks, we were getting 1.4-1.7 GBs per second on both read and write on average. Yes, I said GBs a second on a RAID 5. Note: There is alot to be done to achieve this speed. You need to change the I/O scheduler in linux, among other things. And disable read cache if you have a RAID card.
