1 out of 5 eggsDead after 1 month

Pros: While it worked I was quite happy with it. I have about a dozen flash drives and this was instantly my favorite. It was fast and slim and stylish designed.

Cons: Died after about a month. It's not worth paying to ship back for replacement. It seems to be a major problem with these drives.

Other Thoughts: The cap is not integrated, and there's no way to attach it to the drive while it's in use.

1 out of 5 eggsToshiba Fail

Pros: none

Cons: flash drive failed after several uses. Started to do online RMA on Toshiba site , they wanted a credit card and an amount on the RMA shows $20.89. The purchase price from New Egg was only $8.99.Glad I did not purchase a Flat screen tv, I can't imagine what the amount on the RMA form would have been ! Warranty flash drive now lives in circular file. No more Toshiba for me.

Other Thoughts: Repeat New Egg customer

1 out of 5 eggsGarbage

Pros: You can ship back to Newegg for a regular first class stamp and envelope when it dies.

Cons: Died within a calender week of receiving it.

Other Thoughts: Luckily I was simply putting it through it's paces with some routine device file swapping duties where it didn't contain any vital data to lose when it bricked on me.

If it dies on you within the return period call Newegg for a free return tag.

1 out of 5 eggsDefective

Pros: I wouldn't know.

Cons: Didn't work at all.

Other Thoughts: I tried to access it from Windows 7, Windows server 2012 R2, and linux with various commands. Reports as a drive but with no media inserted. Didn't bother to RMA cuz of the cost.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Value Memory Flash Drive

Pros: Got this to use on my router for storage and sharing. It has a USB 3.0 interface but its speed is really like a USB 2.0 flash drive which is to be expected as this is their "Value Line" and it uses slower, a.k.a., cheaper memory to achieve the low price point. Cheaper doesn't necessarily mean it isn't any good or is likely to fail, it simply is slower memory and doesn't command higher pricing. It works fine for the application that I got it for. No complaints about the speed as I was aware of it going in and it works well for the application, and was on sale for eight bucks shipped.

Cons: None, works as expected.

Other Thoughts: Because this has a USB 3.0 interface some folks may be expecting this to be lightning fast and if they are they'll be disappointed. Frankly if this same memory was on a USB 2.0 stick you wouldn't notice the difference since the actual nand chips control the overall speed. This isn't a problem if you understand that the USB 3.0 interface is more of marketing thing than anything else. For what it is this works fine, but if you are looking for something with blazing speed then this isn't the flash drive for that purpose.

Given the use that I have for this drive it works fine, and as long as it holds up then its a real good buy. Might as well throw away the cap as soon as you get this so you won't be wasting a lot of time looking for it when you eventually lose it.

1 out of 5 eggsNo so Good

Pros: Great speed compared to 2.0.

Cons: Worked for about 10 minutes then failed.

Other Thoughts: Oh well it was less than ten dollars should have considered that when I purchased.

1 out of 5 eggsAbsolute piece of JUNK!

Pros: Cheap.

Cons: Cheap piece of junk. Had for 2 days before it corrupted my data then became write protected. WHAT?! Now I can't reformat the thing. Always had issues with Toshiba products. Last bought Toshiba product 10 yrs ago. Thought they couldn't possibly screw something as simple as a flash drive, but they proved me wrong. Trying to find support information on the maze that is the Toshiba website is yet another frustrating experience.
Do yourself a favor and avoid this thing.
