5 out of 5 eggsCard works in Olympus e510

Pros: Plenty of space for uncompressed images
Fast enough for my average photo habits
Good price

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I'm using this card in an Olympus e510. I haven't filled the card up as I usually only go a couple of days without unloading them onto my pc. But a card like this should easily last a heavy shooter a week or more.

2 out of 5 eggsProblems with Corrupted Images

Pros: Generally speaking, I am very happy with SanDisk products. I've been using their CF cards for years. I have a couple of hundred of their CF cards and two of their new SSDs. I use the cards a professional photographer and, until this last order, they have been bullet proof.

NewEgg, as usual, shipped them very quickly to me - right to the hotel I was staying in while working on location.

Cons: My order was for 89 cards (was going to buy an even 100, but they didn't have enough in stock). I received the 30MB/second cards, which is great. However, with pretty much every card I use from this shipment, I am seeing one or two images corrupted per use. Each card is formatted prior to re-use and has been used on up to four different camera models. I've had one card fail completely, with a loss of all images.

Prior to this set of cards, I have very, very rarely encountered a corrupted image (maybe every 100,000 images at most). Now, it's a regular occurrence ... which has me very disappointed and nervous regarding their use.

Other Thoughts: Unfortunately, I am past the 30 day return window ... but I'm hoping NewEgg or SanDisk will step in and help me out. This was a big purchase and for so many failures to be occurring on so many different cameras, it seems there must be a problem with this group of cards.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome CARD! 25Mbs write!

Pros: I Benchmarked (2 cards purchased here March 16th 2012) with CrystalDisk and OTTO

Read speed = 28Mbs
Write speed = 25Mbs!

After doing extensive testing you will find that a CF card is rated at its highest read speed. While this is great for transferring data from the card to PC it is not telling you the write speed which is what counts in a newer DLSR for burst and video. Theses cards are as fast as my last years Gmonster 16G 533x card I paid a fortune for! For video on my Canon 5Dmk II I have been using a Kingston 32G 15Mbs write card and it keeps up fine with no dumps. These cards at 25Mbs should work fine on any of the latest DLSR's for Video and should give you pretty good pickup after you fill your buffer in a burst shoot. Sandisk is #1 in reliability.

This batch of cards are gems.

Buy it!

I bought 4 :)

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: Note: I tested the Sandisk Extreme III 4G 30Mb/s* that I own and was shocked to see that its max write speed was only 9Mbs and the read speed was 27Mbs, so you should be getting a good picture of the value in the card selling here for $25 or less and a write speed that is faster than most 500x cards.

4 out of 5 eggsGot exactly what I ordered

Pros: Just what I ordered

Cons: None -- see below

Other Thoughts: I ordered two of these for my son-in-law who does amateur photography, shooting mostly in raw format. I rarely can find CF memory on sale any more so I jumped at the chance when Newegg put these on sale for under $20 each. Was a little concerned when I read all the negative users reviews who said they ordered the SanDisk Ultra 8 GB cards but Newegg sent something else. So totally unlike Newegg, in my opinion. And I received exactly what I ordered -- I have bought many things over the years from Newegg and have always received exactly what I ordered and this experience was no different.

Having said that I do not know how well these CF cards do or don't work as I have not given them to my son-in-law yet. My past experience with SanDisk products, however, has been nothing but positive.

5 out of 5 eggsGot what I ordered

Pros: Great card. I was nervous with some of the reviews stating that people didn't get what they ordered, but that wasn't my experience. I received the 30 MB/s card pictured and in a very short time.
This is a very quick card, I've never had a moment of trouble shooting either video or full RAW on my 7d.

Cons: none

1 out of 5 eggsBait & Switch on 8 gb Sandisk Ultra Card

Pros: N/A

Cons: I ordered the Sandisk Ultra 8gb card and they shipped me the 4gb card. I am not happy with this as it was not what I ordered and they are out of stock on the 8gb card. Rather than sending me the wrong item and having to go through the process of shipping the item back, Newegg should have told me upfront that they were out of stock and did not have the 8gb card.

Other Thoughts: I have ordered some big ticket items from Newegg and always had excellent service, but this little episode will make me very cautious on future purchases as their quality control is slipping and they are playing the odds that people will not ship items back and keep the item shipped instead. This does not set well with me as honesty and integrity are far more important when doing business with a company on-line and this wreaks of dishonesty and deception. My advice to anyone is to call Newegg, ask them beforehand if they DO have an item listed as opposed to shipping a bogus replacement!

1 out of 5 eggsNOT as Advertised

Pros: None, price is even higher then same card on other sites.

Cons: I should have listened to the other two post underneath this. I too was shipped an Ultra II 15/MBS card, not the 30/MBS as pictured. I knew this could have happened but i ordered anyway figuring it was a decent price even for the 15/MBS card and I was only going to use it as a back up card. If you order this Do NOT expect to recieve the 30/MBS card they show!

Other Thoughts: I have ordered thousands of dollars worth of items from Newegg and this is the first problem i have ran into.

1 out of 5 eggsThis is not what they ship you!

Pros: None

Cons: I do did not receive the Ultra 8GB 30MB/Sec CF card, instead I was shipped an Ultra II 15MB/Sec CF card. Same as the other customer the best they could do for me was an RMA. According o the UPC and model number, all Newegg has done is taken some of there old stock, placed a new UPC sticker for the Ultra ontop of the old Ultra II UPCs. It's a bait and switch.

Other Thoughts: My guess is they have a bunch of the Ultra II's that they can't sell at profit and they are trying to to pass these off as Ultra's and hoping that their loyal customers won't notice. The Ultra II's are not longer even for sale.
