Pros: Backup button makes the process easy once setup. A lot of storage space. U3 tool makes the restore of the files easy.

Cons: The auto backup feature only works with the computer the backup first took place on. I was never able to backup or restore the files from one computer to another. Always had to manually restore the files onto my laptop when backed up from my desktop.

Other Thoughts: Sandisk no longer supports this model. The U3 tool used to be nice when Sandisk let you download applications for it. It was a great idea, just not a complete one. Unless you only have one computer, save your money and get a standard 32 gb flash drive.

Pros: Great storage capacity, easy to setup encryption, works well with WinXP. Mediocre speed.

Cons: Encryption does NOT work with Win7. Unfortunately for me, I encrypted on a WinXP machine, upgraded to Win7, and apparently it's a known problem that encryption doesn't work with Win7. The one-touch backup doesn't work on this drive OR on my older 4GB version - I don't need that feature, but it should still work.

Other Thoughts: The flash drive does work, without encryption, on any machine I've tried, it's just the encryption that doesn't work. Encryption is the reason I purchased, and paid more for this drive, so to me, it's almost worthless now. Sure, I could waste a few hours following all the steps to get it to work (find an XP machine, remove encryption, backup contents, uninstall U3 software, reinstall, etc. But I didn't pay for that.

Pros: cool drive, though no longer U3, i installed portableapps with no prob. I very much like the Backup button, but just make sure you don't wipe the software for that without backing up first.

Cons: it is NOT hardware encryption as advertised!!! I kind of already figured that out before buying, but just wanted to give you noobs the heads up ;)

Pros: 1. Enough space for storing data and media files as well.
2. Sliding usb port is stable. No need to worry about losing the cap.

Cons: U3 launchers don't work with Win7. Compatibility mode doesn't work as well. Failed to load U3 launcher. And of course, "backup" button is useless.

Other Thoughts: Writing speed is around 800KB~1MB/s and it is quite slow compared with portable HDDs.

Pros: Enough room to back up my files and use it to transfer them to my new computer.
