1 out of 5 eggsThe worst - nowhere near advertized speed

Pros: None.

Cons: Abysmally slow. ATTO Benchmark showed it to be one of the slowest USB drives I've seen 3-4 mb/sec write speeds. Are they kidding? Even the cheapie PNY drive I have is faster.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Drive

Pros: First of all with all of my flash drives the first thing I do is format the drive to get whatever software they put on there off because it never works well. Once that's done I'm getting about 7-8MB/s write and a solid 17MB/s read speed so it's not crazy fast but almost double what I got with my old drive. The case feels sturdy enough it's obviously not the titanium version they used to have but I feel comfortable putting it in my pocket but the lanyard hole would break off for sure if you used it.

Cons: Don't really have any besides that I wasn't able to reach the 10MB/s write speed as advertised

1 out of 5 eggsMy mistake: Not checking Newegg's reviews before I bought

Pros: It has this pulsating red light and is made out of shiny red and black plastic. Children will like it.

Cons: Flimsy plastic, breakable loop for lanyard, and bogus “SecureAccess” software that does not work as described in the user manual, and once installed on my XP machine, can not be uninstalled by neither SanDisk’s “uninstall” application nor the Control Panel.

Other Thoughts: I must admit, I was stupid. I had thought after SanDisk’s earlier “management” software failures, I would try it out in hopes that their market attention has improved – wrong.

I figured I would write this review before I attempt any more surgery to remove the software debris left behind.

A few years back I bought a SanDisk titanium thumb drive. It is my favorite. I am guessing, based on my experience and other postings that SanDisk has stopped listening to the market.

Perhaps my biggest mistake was not checking Newegg's reviews before I bought.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't waste your money

Pros: None

Cons: Advertising attached to every use. Interface is not user friendly. Changing any files requires taking the file off of the thumb drive and saving it to your hard drive.
