Pros: Decent SSD for the price. Performance was solid until it crashed. I can't complain too much as it was a cheap SSD and it lasted a couple years.

Cons: Died after 2 years

5 out of 5 eggsStill running strong after 3-1/2 years.

Pros: I upgraded my build in 2011 with this drive and some other improvements. I instantly noticed speed increase.
I'm happy to say my first SSD experience went well and has lasted as I would expect it to. Fast boot up compared to my older mechanical drive of course.

Cons: The 2014 price is still about what I paid for it 3 years ago?? There are much faster drives out there for the price.

Pros: Quicker than a spinning disk

Cons: Dead in a year

Other Thoughts: Spoke to Sandisk support. Explained the dead drive situation and they refused to RMA without going through "troubleshooting"...

Complete waste of time.

Pros: It was a great deal at the time

Cons: Drive completely died 1 1/2 years after installation. Barely able to recover most of my data.

Pros: Fast! SSD by far make booting and running fast. @ computers side by side with same build with one running and SSD one with standard drive. The SSD boots in 32 seconds and is ready to go. Standard is almost 2 minutes.

Cons: Nothing until it just vanished. Everything was working fine. Computer was left on overnight and went to use it in the am. All screens were frozen. Rebooted the computer and SSD not found in boot menu. Did some more trouble shooting a found this is a major issue with SSD drives.

Other Thoughts: As anything would be nice if it worked for at least the warranty period. I will be getting with Sandisk for repair/replacement. But as you know not open on weekends and never after hours.

3 out of 5 eggsFollow-up to: DEAD in 11 Months

Pros: SanDisk RMA process delivered in exchange a SanDisk Extreme II SATA3 240GB replacement drive carrying a 5 year warranty (UPS postage paid by SanDisk to and USPS paid from). This was unexpected and shows an intent from SanDisk that they wish to stand above the competition... Thank you

Cons: SanDisk did not offer a Cross-Ship method of return. Because of this I had to provide my client with a replacement drive whilst I wait for the RMA drive and then swap again. I mailed the RMA (UPS postage paid by SanDisk) 02-05-2014 and received a replacement 02-12-2014.

Other Thoughts: Obviously the personnel in charge of fulfillment at SanDisk RMA wish to do all they can to make better a bad situation... they have succeeded in this case.

Other Thoughts: It took about two months from the time it began to slow down until complete failure.

Pros: Worked as rated for 11 months of the 3 year warranty. Have deployed many SanDisk SSD drives (different models from this) with no issues prior.

Cons: 11 months disk stopped responding without notice or pre-failure problems, Win7 x64.
Not even a hiccup then, NO BOOT DRIVE FOUND.
Disk will report its present on the SATA BUS (In BIOS) and DISKPART reports disk present with 0-Free 0-Used

Other Thoughts: It is imperative to do REGULAR BACKUPs if your data is on this family of drives.

Pros: Worked great for 2 years, BUT .....

Cons: Failed suddenly and completely after 2 years' use. Turned PC on in the morning and got error message. Wouldn't boot up. SSD no longer recognised. Removed it connected to a different PC, same result - dead, no data no Windows, nothing.

Other Thoughts: Got RMA from Sandisk and returned it to them. They provided a pre-paid shipping label Shipped via UPS ground. Sandisk emailed to advise replacement on its way to me.

Pros: Ran great while it lasted.

Cons: It died. Luckily before the 3 years were up on the Sandisk warranty. Requested a replacement.
