5 out of 5 eggsIt continues to beat

Pros: These days I use it on my hackintosh(10.9.2-Mavericks) install. Boots fast, just experimental for now before it is replaced for a larger drive. Works fine in OSx

Cons: Right now(3/19/2014) it shows $199.99 which is ridiculously high! I got it in 2012 and it was cheaper. There is NO reason why this drive should cost this much in 2014 especially packing 23k IOPS in read? Don't bother.

1 out of 5 eggsCRASHED over and over

Cons: clear and simple: If you buy this drive, it will crash. I have crashed twice. what a pain in the neck.

2 out of 5 eggsRuns great until it doesn't...

Pros: Fast, easy installation. Fast RMA.

Cons: This is the third Sandisk 120G SSD that has died. All of them have died about 8-10 months after install. Sandisk has been good with the RMA and fast shipping, but its a real pain to have to rebuild the system over and over. Would not buy it again.

5 out of 5 eggsServes me well

Pros: I have never had a SSD before, but the start up speeds for everything that I have on my SSD are very fast compared to my old 7200 1 Tb Seagate HDD. Gets to Windows 7 log in screen in about 10 seconds

Cons: my L SATA cable does not like the back of this SSD. I'm happy I have it stable at the moment, but if I didn't, I'd fear that a bump could knock it off. I've tried multiple cables on the back, seeing what will work, it just doesn't seem to want to hang on to any sata.

Other Thoughts: I honestly can't compare this to any other SSD, but I did a lot of research before I bought this. It wasn't the greatest rated brand, however it was a great review for the money, so I have no regrets so far. Can't wait to get another one of these, they fill up fast. I only have my windows files, League of Legends and a few necessary files on my SSD, but I can see how it'd be tempting to stick lots of games on it. The loading speeds are great. My old HDD serves as my slave drive, works out well.

I highly suggest doing a fresh install of your OS when doing a SSD main drive switch. Made my life so much easier, since I seemed to have botched it up the first try without a fresh installation.

5 out of 5 eggsFlies!

Pros: Looks like all the other SSDs.

Cons: None, so far.

Other Thoughts: I have many other SSD drives in my other PCs at home and at work, some way more expensive than this, and nothing slices through boot up and programs like this drive. I just don't know why. I haven't bothered to run benchmarks, but it instantly noticeable.

4 out of 5 eggsSDSSDX-120G-G25

Pros: I have run these drives in 3 different RAID setup.
1) Sata2 onboard (Asus P7P55)
2) Dedicated cheap Sata3 PCIexpress controller
3) Sata3 onboard (MSI Z87-G43)

I have run AS SSD and Perfmon at the same time today (3 drives in RAID0 on the MSI board). He does push quite some IOPs. Running these on SATA2, even with 4 drives (like I did for a year) will only give you ~~40% of the numbers below:

During 4k-64thrds, peak at 104,000 IOPS (4k iops). Average ~70k IOPS (test was too short but it gives you an idea)

Sequential test have 1201MBytes per second for reads and 376MBytes per seconds for writes

During the 4k test, the disk queue went up to 64 without causing any pain.

So... pros: cheap (when I bought them at least) and scaling quite well on a raid config. Tons of reads, perfect for a gamer like me

Cons: Not so many, for the price, it's fine. Most have a heavy read - low write profile to really enjoy them

1 out of 5 eggsTwo drives failed

Pros: Fast boot speed/load times
Cheap

Cons: Poor reliability

Other Thoughts: I've had 2 of these fail in a year. First one after 4 months, sent it in for warranty, and the replacement drive failed 8 months later. I wasn't expecting a high performance drive from SanDisk, but I was expecting something a bit more reliable than this.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear User,

We are sorry to hear that your SSD has failed. We suggest you to please contact SanDisk support at 1-866-SANDISK or submit a support request at www.sandisk.com/support. We will isolate what is causing this issue and will assist you towards a resolution including a warranty replacement if needed.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat SSD!

Pros: Fast! Great value. SATA III. No need for TRIM with the SandForce chipset.

Cons: It doesn't come with a SATA cable. I had to spend a whole 2 minutes looking for one. And yet, life goes on...

Other Thoughts: The only other SSD I have used was a 60GB Force3. I haven't used many, but this product seems to work well enough.
