4 out of 5 eggsupdating my post of 5/6/2013

Pros: Well, it HEALED. After 36 hours in the phone, the card responds properly in all environments.

Cons: Still just 59.4 Gigs.

Other Thoughts: I don't know how healing works with computers; makes me worry. Still, I now have (adequately close to) what I ordered, so I'm happy with this product. If you have trouble like I did, try shutting down (take battery out for a minute), then start it all up again.

3 out of 5 eggsSome glitches

Pros: High memory at a good price

Cons: First attempt to get Windows to format the drive yielded only 27 Gigs. Jeez I tried to format it from my Galaxy S3; same bad result. Almost RFA'd right then, but after talking with tech support, I used a computer with a built-in SD card reader. There, it formatted to 59.4 Gigs; fair enough.

Now, with card in phone the normal connection via cable does not work. I cannot transfer data to/from the phone unless I turn phone off, remove card, and use the card reader in the desktop. It's a big hassle.

Other Thoughts: It's possible the Galaxy S3 is at fault for the latest problem.

Pros: None

Cons: Got this today -- Windows formatted it as 27 GB, not 64 as advertised. So, I let my phone (Galaxy S3) try -- still 27 GB. So the drive doesn't have even half of its advertised capacity. I will do RMA on it right soon.

Other Thoughts: I will update if SanDisk (or anyone) can make it right.

5 out of 5 eggsupdate to 3/20 review

Pros: A new card came out of the blue today. I benchmarked it, and it looks like the first one was defective after all. You don't hear about companies sending out replacements on their own initiative very much these days, so NewEgg deserves a big public thumbs up on this.

Cons: No cons. Just props for NewEgg for being a stand-up company.

Other Thoughts: New Crystalmark test:
Type / Read / Write
Sequential: 34.82MB/s / 8.301MB/s
512K: 32.76MB/s / 0.674MB/s
4K: 3.835MB/s / 1.489MB/s
4KQD32: 3.687MB/s / 1.544MB/s

The 4K read speed is up to 1.489 from 0.070, and the 4KQD32 up to 3.687 from 0.074. So yeah, something was definitely screwy with that first card.

5 out of 5 eggsFast and does the job

Pros: Fast. Huge capacity. Less than $1 per GB. Works perfectly with my Asus TF300. Stellar product.

Cons: I wish it was $20...

Other Thoughts: Great card. Put it through it's paces in another machine and no complaints. It is faster than the tablet I use it in so I am happy.

2 out of 5 eggsJust mine?

Pros: Capacity, price/GB

Cons: ABSURDLY slow write speeds. I'm still not sure if mine is a dud, but it took over 12 hours to transfer 14GB of book, video, and music files to my tablet. This thing HATES small files. It works well enough once they're on there, but if it's that slow to transfer them in the first place, it's essentially a huge CD-ROM. I haven't found much info on this card model online, so I don't know if mine should be replaced or if I should just return it.

Other Thoughts: CrystalDiskMark results when plugged straight into laptop's card reader using supplied adapter:

Type / Read / Write
Sequential: 32.90MB/s / 7.973MB/s
512K: 30.61MB/s / 0.591MB/s
4K: 3.168MB/s / 0.070 MB/s
4KQD32: 3.322MB/s / 0.074MB/s

Note that 4K write speed. That's apparently the biggie for performance when you're using it in a tablet. I have older class 6 cards that are waaaaay faster than this.

5 out of 5 eggsFor My TF700T

Pros: This flash card works the first time, plug it in and transfer data to it.
I stream movies from this card, have not had one problem. we'll see how it fairs after a year or so.

Cons: I can always use more room, a 1 tarabyte would be nice -- be even if they had one I don't think my TF700 Tablet would work with it.

4 out of 5 eggsExpensive but good capacity

Pros: 64Gb in the size of a fingernail! The capacity is awesome, and frankly, about time. I tried it in my B&N Nook Simple Touch, which says it takes up to a 32Gb card. The Nook detected this MicroSDXC card and asked to format it for use. Once that was done, it was able to see roughly 59.xGb and I was able to copy things to it.

Cons: Speed and price. I was so excited when it went on sale that I didn't stop a minute to look up the speed ratings. It appears to transfer slower than a 32Gb class 10 MicroSDHC, but I haven't run the benchmark tests yet so I'm not sure how much slower. Other than that, paying $1+ per Gb hurts the wallet but if you need the storage space, there isn't much of a choice at the moment.

5 out of 5 eggsworks great!

Pros: Works great, huge capacity.

Cons: Seems to take my phone a little bit longer to boot up, but not really a problem.

Other Thoughts: I thought I'd be smart and preemptively format this card on my mac. It didn't work; I had to use the phone to do the formatting, and then it worked fine.

I was replacing another card which had apps installed on it. I tried to backup the apps from the old card and then copy them onto the new card after it was formatted. I used a microsd card adaptor connected to my mac.

It didn't work. I ended up having to reinstall all the apps which had been installed on the old card. Not really a big deal, but you might want to move any apps installed on your old card back to the phone (talking Android here), then once this card is in, move them back.
