5 out of 5 eggsA Solid Solid State Drive

Pros: Quick read/write speeds.
Runs cool, runs quiet.
Feels sturdy enough, looks nice too.
Enough space for Windows 7 Pro and several key programs.

Cons: Only 64GB of storage, even less after formatting. You'll need a seperate HDD to act as a data drive for file storage. (You get what you pay for.)

Other Thoughts: I got this drive for $35 through a Shell Shocker sale. At that price, this drive was an amazing deal. Upgrading to an SSD from my old, failing HDD has significantly improved the performance of my computer. This drive is the perfect size for an OS and a few programs. However, if you're hoping to put some games on this drive, you'll find yourself quickly running out of space.

1 out of 5 eggsGetting mad now

Pros: none.

Cons: Been waiting almost 10 days for my rma from shipping to a post office box from newegg which they supposedly do not do. Even though their shipper got the package to maryland...i live in pa and as soon as it hits maryland it goes to the USPS. I find it funny how I didn't even touch the package and I am waiting for a refund. I am not being patient. I need my money back as I have already replaced what i bought and didn't receive due to my package NOT being shipped to my home but the postal service instead.

Other Thoughts: Give me my money back already, you are so quick to take it and now I cannot get back my money from your mistakes? This is why newegg is not getting any more business from me.

5 out of 5 eggsFast Replacement Drive

Pros: Fast delivery..as usual from newegg.com
Brought an old Dell XP machine back to life, and once I installed Windows 7 64 Bit...boom!! Much, much faster start ups, faster loading of all programs and apps now.

Cons: For this price...are you kidding...no cons here.

Other Thoughts: I had an old Dell Dimension 5150 Windows XP, dual core PC that was suffering from XP slowness, also not enough RAM, and a very slow HDD. I upped the RAM, put Windows 7 64 bit on this SSD, and ka-pow, it runs better than new now. Yes it's not a big drive, but for a Windows 7 boot drive, plus some needed programs, it works just great. Stick in an extra storage drive and you are set.

4 out of 5 eggsMediocre drive

Pros: It works. Reliable so far. Cheap. Quiet.

Cons: Just slow, compared to the hard drive it replaced it is about the same speed.

Other Thoughts: I wasn't expecting a lot and that is what I got. Maybe I'm doing something wrong as lots of others marvel over it. I may try it in a different pc just in case. I don't have much to compare to except my 10K rpm hard drive, but was hoping for more.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Drive

Pros: Got it for < $40 on Shell Shocker.

Crystal Disk Mark results:

seq: 420/183 r/w
512k 254/33 r/w
4k 11/12 r/w
4k qd 32 32/9 r/w

Not a bad upgrade for my laptop.

Cons: Feels flimsy, like the drive itself is prolly the size of a half dollar coin and the rest is cheap plastic to fill the space. That's not necessarily a con though.

1 out of 5 eggsThe slowest SSD i ever tried

Pros: Works

Cons: It's painfully slow! I replaced 7200rpm desktop hard drive and didn't notice any difference in speed. I tried every possible adjustment in windows to speed it up - no luck! Then I red specs of it... Some reviews about good speed my be here, because people got confused: similar model in black box is fast, this one (in red box) is extremely slow...

Other Thoughts: I don't see any reason for Sundisk to make those drives unless someone from main engineers got mad at company and wanted to destroy reputation.

5 out of 5 eggsZoom

Pros: I actually purchased two of the SanDisk 64GB Solid State Drives and have been very much impressed with their speed and performance. The boot up time is rather fast and clicking to start a program, it is right there. This is the way Windows 7 is supposed to work.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: As with most SSD's, you will need to purchase a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter unless your case already has a spot.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price I paid.

Pros: I paid 30 something for each one, so a the price was great.
Fast
Installed easy.

Cons: Feels cheap. The sata ports on all 4 wiggle if you touch them slight and one of the ssds I received actually had plastic that was flexed out. Worked fine, just a bit hard to mount.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking for SSD drives and are looking to spend $40-55, this is the drive for you.

5 out of 5 eggsBest pfSense SSD I could Have Got.

Pros: I am only using 1% of the diskspace on it, and the 8 gigs of swap has literally never been touched on my pfSense box. It runs like a charm. It boots in seconds. It's a great drive.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: My lack of writing to it will make sure this drive lasts until the cows come home, and since I don't own cows, that should be quite some time. Or until I invest in a heard of cattle.
