5 out of 5 eggsTook a chance on Sandisk - not disappointed at all!

Pros: Supports all modern SATA, S.M.A.R.T., AHCI functions. Large capacity at a (relatively) low price for and SSD. Fast - yes not as fast as Samsung or some others, but do I care? Not a bit. Over 500MB read/425MB write. This is in a new build with an Intel B75 Chipset. Installing Intel Rapid Storage made a big difference in boot times, updating the firmware did as well. Updating the firmware with the SSD Toolbox from Sandisk was quick and easy as well. With an i5 3330, 8GB DDR3-1600, and this drive, I press the power button and get a desktop within 10 seconds. I can't say that about the RAID0 64GB Crucial M4s on an AMD 970 board that I was using previously. It's nice to have TRIM support as well in comparison to the old system. In fact, I have yet to find a single thing that this does not do better than that previous RAID setup. I'm happy with this purchase - let's hope reliability is one of the strengths of this drive as well!

Cons: N/A

Other Thoughts: If the price is right compared to other 2xxGB drives, don't hesitate to go for it!

4 out of 5 eggsJust as advertised

Pros: After a few modifications, I got my system to run this SSD at full 450mb/s writes and 530mb/s reads.

Also it has a nice slim profile

Cons: Kinda cheap quality look to it.
Only 3 Years warranty, where some brands have 5.

Other Thoughts: I was getting 200mbs read and 200mbs writes until I set my motherboard bios from IDE to ACHI, and then I had to update my AMD ACHI drivers, and then I ran the SanDisk firmware update for the SSD.

1 out of 5 eggsDead within the month

Pros: Fast, fast, fast--before it died. Affordable, too, so long as it is working.

Cons: It died within a month. The main partion is gone. Only the partion with install files exists.

Other Thoughts: Will continue to try and fix, but I think I've hit a dead end. I'm hoping this is just an isolated incident, but nothing out of the ordinary was happening to make this problem occur. Simply put, the drive became unusable in less than one month. Will change the review depending on warranty replacement experience. Like I said earlier, the drive was fast.

1 out of 5 eggsDead after 10 hours

Pros: Cheap, slim style

Cons: too many reports of dead drives after short operation and DOA. Seems fragile build. Should have followed my instinct on this one but was too cheap and now I am paying for it.

5 out of 5 eggsOff to a Bad Start.........BUT

Pros: Works very fast and is perfect for a boot drive in Windows 7 on my desktop computer. Average booting time is less than 30 Seconds and we are ready to go. I use this drive strictly for booting and a few small programs. Larger programs are placed on my 1 Terr. "D" drive as is all data. It is a great setup and works seamlessly.

Cons: Had several problems with my computer hanging. I would have to reset and reboot. I called SanDisk customer support. They were very helpful and pinpointed the problem to my installation error. In BIOS settings, I had not changed the drive to AHCI. Once done, this made all the difference in the world. I am now a little wiser and a lot happier.

5 out of 5 eggsInstalled easy/works just fine!

Pros: Installation was a breeze. It replaced 120Gig SATA III SSD of another brand. Mine didn't come with the latest firmware. I downloaded and burned the latest firmware on a cd, rebooted the pc and updated the firmware in Bios. Updating was easy and painless. It also didn't change any SSD settings when I put it in. So that's a plus. I had replaced SSDs before in my other PCs and there were times when I had to reset the settings...etc. Also it's faster than the one it replaced. So I'm happy!

Cons: Not really a con but I waited so long hoping I would catch a discount and finally I decided to just buy it and not waiting any longer. About 5 days after I bought it...it went on sale (15% off). :/ I truly hate when that happens!!

Other Thoughts: Been using it for about a week or so. Therefore I can't comment on longevity and reliability. Only time will tell. This is the first time I'm using this brand. So hopefully it's as reliable as the other brands I have used.
