3 out of 5 eggsDoes not perform to its specs. Formatted in FAT32

Pros: None

Cons: Does not perform to its specs compared to other similar devices (CorsAir Voyager GT 32 GB has been tested to show 220 MB/s Read and 100 MB/s Write). Does not pass TRIM when formatted in NTFS. Read/Write below 200 MB/s when tested in parallel with similar devices from Corsair.

Other Thoughts: Sandisk should it improve its quality control. The same applies to SanDisk SDHC and SDXC memory cards which very greatly in their Write Performance

5 out of 5 eggsThis One Meets Specs

Pros: On previous comments, I noted that I have purchased three of these drives and none of the three was able to break 200 MB/s on either Read or Write.

I returned all three.

But when Newegg ran them on sale for $59.99 -- and I had a $20.00 Newegg gift card -- I thought I would give it another try for $39.99.

This latest drive benchmarked (ATTO) at 267 MB/s Sequential Read, and 239 MB/s Sequential Write. That is to say, it met the advertised specs.

Cons: Not a con with this one, but that means the other three drives I returned -- that couldn't break 200 MB/s -- did have some valid problems.

Other Thoughts: I like SanDisk flash drives and own a number of the Extreme models in various capacities. Although there are a few others that benchmark slightly better, they are also significantly more expensive (the Lexar P-20 series, for example).

I think SanDisk represents the best value for the money.

1 out of 5 eggsTerribly slow USB

Pros: My order was loss in USPS and got a replacement via next day. Very good on Newegg

Cons: This drive came defected as the speed is atrociously slow compared to the advertised speed. I sent it back to newegg for a RMA. Am I just very unlucky with 2 drives being this slow..

Other Thoughts: First drive with CrystalDiskMark

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointed, hyped up specs and deflated performance

Pros: portable

Cons: The exe fails to install that comes with this stick. Additionally, when trying to copy to this stick, the highest speed I reached was 50mb/s. but most of the time it stayed around 186 yes, I do mean KB/s. this thing is ridiculously slow

Other Thoughts: for the price, i expected more and got less. not worth it, so keep on searching

4 out of 5 eggsVery Good

Pros: Fast
Does not get hot [as some have reported]

Cons: Less than advertised speed.

Roughly 198.7 MB/s Read
Roughly 193 MB/s Write
[according to crystalmark Sequential benchmarks]

Other Thoughts: I transferred 4GB of music files from my SSD to this Flash Drive, it took 36 seconds, and a few of the music files were ~ 30 minutes long, the rest were normal length.

Although slower than spec, it does not get "hot" as some have reported, possibly due in part because there is an exhaust fan in my medium tower case adjacent to the SanDisk Extreme Pro, and the Pro is running at a slower than spec speed.

5 out of 5 eggsThey weren't lying about it being fast.

Pros: I was looking for the fastest flash drive I could get to get all my updates on, and this guy fit the bill. The metal casing feels solid, and the sliding mechanism doesn't feel like it will break any time soon.

Cons: Speed isn't cheap, and this drive is no exception.

4 out of 5 eggsMIxed

Pros: Very nice looking
Capless metal case

Cons: Formatted FAT32
Big

Other Thoughts: It looks like a nice unit, but has some issues. It comes formatted fat32 and can't handle large files. You have to re-format to exfat or ntfs for large files. Case is big. On my laptop there are three usb ports stacked vertically. If I plug this unit into one of the ports, there isn't room to plug anything into an adjacent port.

5 out of 5 eggsUpgrade your Keychain

Pros: It's fast, its USB 3.0 and actually transfers data faster than USB 2.0.
The keychain is metal, not some cheap plastic that is going to break. I've had it for over a month on my keychain, no sign of wear of the key clip hole. It get's thrown around dropped and abused, still works great.

Cons: None really, just surprised it's been out for awhile and I can't find anything better.
O.K. it's a little big, they should have made it smaller. It's shorter than my car key bob. Is the capacity and speed worth it, YES! The size is no big deal.

Other Thoughts: If you carry a USB key on your keychain, I've been carrying the Lacie key for years, it died, it lived a good life. It was time for a new one. Look you're going to carry it around for years, I spends a lot of time looking for the best key chain USB 3.0 drive this one has the performance and capacity.

5 out of 5 eggsRIDICULOUS!!!!

Pros: Just... FFFFAAAASSSSTTTTT!!!!!

Cons: a little big, but nothing you can't carry on a keychain

Other Thoughts: Removable. This drive is RIDICULOUS in speed when put in a USB3 port. I've used USB3 drives from Corsair, Transcend, and Kingston... this drive BLOWS them out of the water. 16GB of a mix or large and small files transferred from USB drive to the PC in a matter of 3mins. AMAZING!!! Yes, it's bigger than other USB3 drives, but I'd still take it... in fact, just ordered another one!!!
