5 out of 5 eggsGood Reader

Pros: If you're looking for one that looks good on your desk and has a little weight to it; than this is the reader for you. Reads everything I've got. SD, CF, MMS Pro, etc.

Cons: None really.

Other Thoughts: Works fine in Vista x64 despite what others have experienced. Could use a mini-SD reader/slot (so you don't have to use the SD adapter).

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well

Pros: Very nice packaging, pretty much plug and play.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Worked fine for me on Windows 7 64-Bit RC.... it was detected right away when I plugged it in to the USB and I was able to copy files from a memory card without issue. Good device, no negatives.

4 out of 5 eggsG5 Likey

Pros: Beautiful looking, heavy like I dreamed of AND it works.

Cons: Not sure if this is a con - but when I installed the drivers to make the icons appear, Vista 64 Ultimate complained about unsigned drivers and refused it. Plus the I,J,K&L drive dis-re-peered. (I know...)

Other Thoughts: I'm "busy" but I'll look for solutions and come back here to see if anyone else knows about this. jmc703@charter.net
is one of my emails. It will appear to bounce back - but I will have it.

5 out of 5 eggsLike the good ole day's

Pros: Solid Construction., very nice insulation from shipping drops from the sturdy box and foam inserts. All reader card slots look flush. Heavy even though outer shell is aluminum ...if it were 1980 and this was a dedicated Amp, it's easy this is high quality, but don't expect to run around with it and your laptop.....it's big and heavy....
Will follow up on this later on as I see how it performs and stands up to a little abuse.
So 5 stars for now , check back in a few....performance

Cons: External

Other Thoughts: rather see an internal sata with 5.25 bay for the front with usb, 2.0 plug(s) on the front faceplate (or esata, firewire)

5 out of 5 eggsAFT Reader

Pros: Tough metal enclosure and isnt some cheap plastic external that you normally find.
Very fast and worked with every HC card I used, including my new SDHC Ultra.
Comes with its own sleek USB cable, didnt have to use one of my own.
Makes a good rest for my mp3 player while it's charging.

Cons: None that I noticed, has done everything I needed it to do.

Other Thoughts: After plugging it in it shows as 4 different drives in My Computer even with no card inserted.
Bought this because the card reader on my laptop was not compatible with newer HC cards.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat reader, works with x64 systems

Pros: This is a very solid device, better built than any external media reader under $50. It reads all the popular media formats without a hitch ... and fast too.

Unlike a previous reviewer, my unit works perfectly fine on Vista x64 and XP x64. I've tried it on multiple 64 bit computers and they all plug-and-played this media reader right away.

Cons: I wish it had rubber feet so you have the option of resting the reader vertically. Small complaint (and easily remedied by adding your own rubber feet), but a con nonetheless.

4 out of 5 eggsNice little box

Pros: This is a nifty little box. I wanted something a little more substantial than a plastic reader not much bigger than a thumb drive. The enclosure is a nice aluminum and looks sleek. Works without a hitch. I got it mainly for my compact flash cards. The box it came in was really impressive. Comes with a USB cable as well. No need for external power. Only a few minor complaints.

Cons: Why can't the thing read USB sticks? Really weird if you ask me seeing it takes up a USB slot and reads just about everything else. Also, the four partitions aren't labeled in Windows Explorer so I have to click through them to find my card. More annoyances than anything.

Other Thoughts: All in all a good purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card Reader

Pros: Looks very sleek and modern. Reads all my SD cards with no problem. I have a Patriot 16gig class 6 SD card and during long transfers, it holds up unlike cheap card readers. It has some weight to it and rubber pads on the bottom so you don't have to hold the card reader to insert cards. I have not had one single problem with this unit yet. It even looks like it was designed from one of the Lian-Li computer cases.

Cons: It is a little big if you are low on desk space. Good thing I'm not.

Other Thoughts: I recommend this to anyone who does a lot of stuff with cards. Like a camera or phone cards. It is a very stable unit both in the physical design and the firmware side.
