4 out of 5 eggsOh My Supreme Deity it works

Pros: Works like it should, one cable to mobo USB header, fits front panel.

Cons: Only one USB connector, flimsy construction, no USB 3.0, no eSATA, pricey for such a basic unit.

Other Thoughts: After trying two other (cheaper) front panel card readers, I tried this one out of desperation. It is the ONLY one that functions with my Dell Precision T1650. It's fairly expensive for such a basic reader and looks like it was stamped in a clamshell packaging machine. I could try another that has everything I want (USB 3.0, eSATA) but at this point I give up. As someone else remarked, why oh why can't they make one of these that isn't a piece of cr@p?

4 out of 5 eggsWorks very Well

Pros: Feels like a quality component instead of like a cheap plastic toy. Fit in the case perfectly. Accepts all of the card types that I needed and then some.

Cons: A little pricey but it rated better than the other internal card readers I looked at so I spent the extra money.

Other Thoughts: Does not come with drivers, you need to download them from their website.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Card Reader

Pros: Good M/B connector cables (takes 2 x USB 2.0), good length, not too fat. Solid connection to card reader as well, didn't get the feeling the cable would slide off. Nice blue light. Ports are clearly identified. Fits nicely in a 5.25" bay.

Cons: Blue light is always on, not just for read/write activity. If you are mounting it for under the desk it would be silly to try to read the small white lettering identifying the ports.

Other Thoughts: Ports for card reader are keyed to work one way only. Color coding the slots would be clownish. I never have actually used it to read/write to a card, though I have used the USB and it worked. It looks good, and that's what matters, who cares if it works anyway?

5 out of 5 eggsso far, so good

Pros: Easy to install
Easy to Use

Cons: none yet

Other Thoughts: I bought this because my wife is a photographer. She is always using the SD cards on the computer. We were using external card readers, but they were garbage. This one appears to be worth the money.

4 out of 5 eggsOK but with reservations

Pros: Seems to work with any cards that I've tried

Cons: - Being all black, its very difficult to see the card slot (I painted a white outline around the slots.)
- Relatively high cost

Other Thoughts: Some mechanical impediment developed in the SD slot whereby an SD card could not be inserted fully. The mfr did fix it under warranty.

With the upgrade of some on my electronics, I can now get by with just an SD reader and no longer need any of the other slots.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card Reader

Pros: Easy Install, worked right out of the box no issues. I have used two other brand and had issues with all of them. If you case hase USB 3.0 built in save some money and get this one.

Cons: It cost more than most other card reader, but you get what you pay for.

Other Thoughts: It has a solid feeling, so other are all plastic and feel weak. Cable are plenty long to get to most internal usb headers.

5 out of 5 eggsCould be the best ever built

Pros: Easy install, snug fit, great finished look, no mess up when putting in card, solid construction, flat black finish, professional feel

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I have tried many card readers and avoided this because the price. Hind sight is perfect, I wish I had bought this first because it would have Bednar the last. If you are looking to buy a card reader Remer the saying, "you get what you pay for". This is indeed a card reader worth the money. The unit is solid and professional, and it works everytime, I was extremely pleased.

5 out of 5 eggsAFT PRO-55U Ai1 Reader

Pros: Nice unit. Just what I wanted. Didn't want a reader with eSATA, firewire or floppy port. I just wanted a basic reader.
A small thing about the unit is the CF port is protected by a flip up panel the covers the pins until you insert a card. Very nice touch. Has all the ports I need and looks great in my black Corsair C70. Installed quickly once I booted up the machine. Nice long USB 2.0 cable so I was able to feed it behind the MB tray along with all the other dressed cabling. Had it up and running in about 15 minutes including install and driver search on boot. Very happy with it. Worth the money when compared to other cheaper units, very well made.

Cons: None really, just wish the unit was metal but it still looks very nice in the C70.
