Right now I'm able to use the new 1 gb stick and the old 512 mb stick in my laptop. Other Thoughts: Didn't work out too well with my Gateway MX6919. Will recognize each stick seperately but will not boot properly together(kept receiving BSOD). A little disappointed when PNY told me it was my motherboard's fault. Cons: One stick was bad, so I lost $8 shipping for the RMA, hence the docked egg. The RMA process was otherwise painless and the replacement got to me pretty quickly. The machine I installed this into just got an incredible performance boost! It was at 512mb RAM laptop, running vista. It's like a different computer now. Cons: The only thing I can list as a con is that it feels brittle and light. A lot of RAM I deal with feels pretty solid, but i was almost afraid I would chip it on the metal holding tabs while installing it. Can't beat the price though! Other Thoughts: The shipping was perfect. Ordered Thursday night with rush processing, got 3 day shipping, arrived bright and early Monday morning. Sweet! And on a side note, the UPS delivery guy left the package at my door on my snowy porch, but had the courtesy of putting the box in a sealed plastic bag to prevent any damage.
