3 out of 5 eggsNOT a Class 6 card

Pros: Huge Capacity for the money. FINE for normal shooting of single shots, and even some HD recording on my new Canon T2i..

Cons: NOT a correctly advertised or substantiated Class 6 card. Falls apart badly on rapid sports shooting, and any HD video shooting over 4.5 minutes. I have a Canon EOS T2i which can shoot up to 4 FPS @ 18.2 Megapixels, and I can consistently outrun this card and corrupt many images. I saw one earlier poster say "buffer..." which is factually inaccurate...the processor on this cam can clear the buffer WAY faster than a properly matched card. This is a card problem. This card is great for general use, but not for extensive rapid action shooting.

Other Thoughts: I just bought a SanDisk Extreme SDHC Class 10 4Gb, and problem go bye bye!

1 out of 5 eggsway too slow

Pros: large space for the cost...but at a disadvantage

Cons: Had this for my nikon D90 and it works, but not the speed it claims. I would not recommend this for DSLR. The speed is just to slow for a class 6. I use for the D90 (new and couple of days old) and the continuous shoot mode does not work properly. The card let the camera do 4-6 shots and stop to buffer. My 4gb class 2 sandisk does better..I guess you get what you pay for. If you are using it for other product then it might be good, but not for DSLR's. oh and the free national geographic wallpaper won't load after I click on the icon to download, another disappointment. Although I didn't have a care for it, but still..if it comes with it, I expect to be able to have it.

Other Thoughts: not made for DSLR

3 out of 5 eggsNot as expected

Pros: large capacity. Came with National geographic extras. Good price.

Cons: Not as fast as expected.
It may just be my card based on reviews.

It cannot keep up with my Panasonic GH1 which only shoots 3.5shots/sec.
After 9 or so shots, I have to wait for buffer to clear.

My 2gb class 2 card could handle continuous shots until card was full.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: Great card. No issues. Able to keep up with my dSLR and Canon Vixia. Great price.

Cons: I wish Newegg had the 16 GB cards in stock.

Other Thoughts: If this card is good enough for National Geographic, it more than enough for the average Joe.

3 out of 5 eggsWrite protected?

Pros: Seems to be fast, large capacity, decent price.

Cons: Some devices think the card is always write protected. My Wii for example (what I bought it for), and my laptop, both of these can read/write other SDHC cards fine. Works fine on my kingston card reader and my cannon digi camera. I think its going to be a backup card for the camera now.

Other Thoughts: I think as long as you have a newer device you are OK, but if its an older SD/SDHC slot it might not let you write to it.

2 out of 5 eggsSlow!

Pros: Large capacity and a good price.

Cons: If they are class 6 they just barely make it. Not good at al if you are using a DSLR. It takes more than a second to record a single JPEG. I haven't even tried a RAW file. Continuous shooting at a decent resolution is pretty much impossible.

Other Thoughts: If speed doesn't matter then these are a good choice. If you have a DSLR or need a faster card, look elsewhere.

3 out of 5 eggsIs very good, but the packaging!

Pros: Like the other reviewers say, this is a fine card. No problems and it is fast.

Cons: This item is packaged in what looks like a plastic DVD box, with a plastic overlay from front to back, and a plastic lock piece on the side. Inside is a plastic tray. The poor little card is dwarfed. Sheesh, I guess the picture should have told me the box was all plastic, but at a glance, I thought it looked like cardboard. OK, they want their little cards to be secure and not stolen at retain outlet, but c'mon guys, I could run my car for a week on all the oil they put into this thing.

Other Thoughts: The card is very good, but PNY, that box is way outta control. I think I'll buy something else next time. My garbage can threw up when I put it in the trash.

5 out of 5 eggsIt's flash memory

Pros: 8Gb card. Writes quickly so no complaints

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I use this in a Canon SD770IS (great camera, BTW) and the write times, for the most part seem to be under half a second on the 10MP setting. It can bog down if you fire off 3 rapid shots, but even then you are looking at a whopping 3 seconds to write.
