Pros: N/A

Cons: This memory was installed in a Micro Star MS-6378 Version 1 motherboard from 2001 and it did not work. The motherboard manual states it will use 1GB of memory. The BIOS memory test passed, it showed 1.X GB of memory, but once Windows XP SP3 booted and tried to perform a minimal number of tasks, the system locked and became unresponsive.

Other Thoughts: This memory is listed as 100/133Mhz speed. I will try the Wintec AMPO 512MB 168-Pin SDRAM PC 133 Desktop Memory Model 3AMSD133-512M-Reed and see if I get better results. It may just be that this board is not compatible with this particular memory module.

Pros: Price. Works well, when it works.

Cons: Ordered two. One worked great. The other reported itself as 256 MB. Sent that one back for replacement. The replacement module prevented the machine from booting. Sent it back for refund.

Other Thoughts: This stuff's pretty dated, and was for an older mac. I've usually been impressed with all the items I've ordered from Newegg - so I'm hoping this is just an outlier.

Just stuck the original 256 MB back in with the new 512 MB since I'm tired of messing with it.

Pros: 512 MB of RAM works in old Pentium 4 XP box.

Cons: None... it works as it's needed.

Other Thoughts: Bought 2 sticks for mother-in-law's old XP box and it upgraded system RAM.

Pros: Quick/Speedy Shipment as always provided by Newegg.

Opened item, installed unit within old Compaq workstation running a Point of Sale software for a local bar. Worked instantly, no issues, did not have to update MoBo, was more than satisfied with the product.

Cons: None at all. :)

Pros: Breathes new life into tired old, memory-poor PC's.

Cons: Older tech like this really needs to be cheaper.

Other Thoughts: Works well to help graying PC's avoid retirement and remain in the workforce a bit longer.

Pros: Compatible with *old* motherboard.

Cons: Wasn't free.

Other Thoughts: Bought for a client who has an emotional attachment to a very old PC (BIOS date 9/24/2001). It works, they are happy (XP actually runs pretty well on the P4 1.8GHz system).

Pros: Easy to install.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: This RAM worked perfectly making my older system screaming fast. I needed more RAM to run XP, and it did the trick. I definitely recommend this RAM to anyone who wants to breathe new life into a dying system!

Pros: No issues from this memory. Has resurrected an old machine that I was sure was going to the landfill.

Cons: The plastic packaging has to be cut open. If you open the package before you realize you bought the wrong style memory, you are out of luck. I got used to another brand whose plastic packaging just pulled apart and was recloseable.

Other Thoughts: I bought this brand because I couldn't find my usual brand for this size/style memory. With the quality and price, this may just be my new brand. Don't let the -1 egg fool you. The memory is great, just not the packaging.

Pros: functional, no errors

Cons: Not as quick as the memory I replaced but for the price it serves the purpose.

Pros: Worked fine on a system with an Aopen motherboard

Cons: Originally wanted to install this 512 MB stick on a Dell Optiplex GX110, but it didn't work. It's possible that the system didn't accept 512 MB of memory. But it worked on another system with an Aopen motherboard. Swapped that system's two 256 MB sticks onto the Dell and used this 512 MB stick on that system, and both systems worked; so, the end result was satisfactory, even though it required knowledge and effort.

Other Thoughts: The memory is probably very good but may not be compatible with some systems, likely because those systems don't accept 512 MB sticks. So, make sure that your system can take a 512 MB stick before you buy it.
