3 out of 5 eggsFollow up on this product

Pros: Runs as advertised

Cons: Faulty product? Refer to 'Other thoughts' for summary.

Other Thoughts: The purchase date of this item was 12/01/2010 with intention to expand my RAM to 8GB as I already had another pair of 2x2gb. Throughout the years it was used, I did undergo some blue screens but have never really cared too much for it. Recently, under load, my computer would crash. Either my programs would crash, or would become unstable, or the computer would shutdown and restart altogether, or I would experience some other types of instability. Doing some extensive research, it was recommended to check the cpu as well as ram. Using the program MEMTEST86, I scanned the two pairs of memory sticks individually as well as in pairs, in different slots, you name it. By the end of my trial and error, I've concluded with the results indicating that Test 6 out of 10 in the program also known as 'block move' provided errors on this product only. I removed this product from the computer and have been stress-testing it for a couple of hours. No restarts yet. Although I may not be completed with further testing, I will follow up again soon to conclude that this product was the issue.

Pros: It a good ram when you got it to work! I am a PNY fan, too bad they don't have a memory that would work on Intel DP45SG. But I did my homework and e-mail the PNY tech rep but they this would work on my board. But it did'nt.

Cons: Will not again not work on Intel DP45SG. Newegg shipping take a while now. Very slow with DHL specially when they give free shipping. It's not not like before, Neweeg shipping have change a lot. If you need it ASAP pay that extra bucks!

Other Thoughts: I asked the PNY teck rep on what is the PNY model# that work in DP45SG, they said they don't have one. So if you are looking for memory for this board forget PNY. Believe me I have tried it and end up returning it.

Pros: PNY is a good memory if it work, compatible with your motherboard.

Cons: Will not work on Intel DP45SG. I have tried it and RMA it.

Other Thoughts: I like PNY but there is a compatibility issue with Intel product. Be very careful selecting you memory with an Intel motherboard. If you have an Intel DP45SG forget about this memory. I have tried it and did not work.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat, cheap, DDR3 RAM

Pros: Inexpensive, DDR3, massive heatsinks, claims to come with a free movie but I have yet to get around to try claiming it.

Cons: Only one I can come up with is it's crazy expensive at brick and mortar retailers(For example approx. $60 at Best Buy)

Other Thoughts: I've owned one set of these for about 4-5 months now and have had no issues, just bought a second set to upgrade to 8 gigs. While not the cheapest route, I recommend these if you decide to buy 4 gigs now and may upgrade later, they run great as a set, but seem to perform even better as a quartet. (Used SWTOR to come to this conclusion)

1 out of 5 eggsWARNING-WORST MEMORY EVER!!!!!

Pros: None

Cons: I wrote a previous review saying how this memory was good and disregard what everyone says. I was wrong then the one stick of memory has managed to go bad after only seven months. For the same price spend less and get memory that is actually descent I am now in the process with customer service to get a replacement but still this is almost an unheard of problem and shouldn't happen.

Other Thoughts: I have had 2 desktops running for 7 years now with the same factory memory and there haven't been any problems so this makes me very mad that on my new computer build I am going through this.
