3 out of 5 eggsThese are fine for casual use.

Pros: PNY drives are not speed demons but they always do seem to work.

Cons: Slow

1 out of 5 eggsBeware

Pros: It's a flash drive. When it works, it holds 32 Gb (if you measure generously).

Cons: Mine died after about a month. (There are a lot of complaints about the PNY 128Gb Flash Drive dying, too.) NewEgg replaced it for me very quickly, but still.

Also, not terribly fast,

and no activity indicator (LED).

Old-fashioned separate cap; they act like being able to attach it to the other end (if you're not using the hanging hole) is a major feature. ?!?

Other Thoughts: The list of cons is a lot longer than the list of pros. No matter HOW cheap it is, be sure you're only using it for backup, so if it dies you won't be heartbroken.

I'm thinking there's a good reason why PNY reduced their warranty from lifetime to 1 year on flash drives.

4 out of 5 eggsyou get what you paid for

Pros: the size is indeed 32GB (those, who complain that it is not, has to read about GB vs GiB, google is your help).

Cons: speed-wise, it's in the entry class of all cheap USB flash sticks.

Other Thoughts: I measured 6.5MB/s write speed, which is actually slightly better then the entry level USB sticks (5MB/ is a typical write speed). Thus, I received exactly what I was expecting. And for the price I paid ($15 for 32GB), it's a very decent stick.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat drive for now.

Pros: + Very solid feeling construction (textured ABS)
+ Standard footprint and cap design (not going to block adjacent ports)
+ No indicator LED
+ Respectable read/write speeds (see other thoughts)
+ Subdued blue & black color scheme with smooth area for labeling.

Cons: - Consider whether you plan on having USB 3.0 ports during the lifetime of the device. You might want to future-proof your purchase, if so, by getting a USB 3.0 drive.
- Cap _might_ wear out over time and become loose. But it fits snugly, so I don't expect it to be a problem.

Other Thoughts: ~25 MB/s block write
~25 MB/s block read
Tested by large file copy. The write speed is one of the best I've seen on USB 2.0 flash. The read is not the best, but respectable.

Ordered one of these and it was lost in the mail. Newegg took care of me, though. :) Very satisfied with the drive and customer support. This is why I shop here.

1 out of 5 eggsBAD PRODUCT!

Pros: Large capacity for the price.

Cons: Worked great for about a month and then was no longer recognized by any device I plugged into. Unable to format. Not usable any longer.

Other Thoughts: I always make sure drive is not being accessed while unplugging. JUNK!

3 out of 5 eggsNever had a flash drive die before.

Pros: Capacity is as advertised
NewEgg was good about RMA with no hassles.

Cons: No activity indicator LED. Died after a month (with minimal use).

Other Thoughts: I never had a flash drive die before, even after years of abuse. And this one was well cared for. Also haven't seen without an LED (even cheap ones) in a while. Only gave it as many as 3 eggs because the RMA was hassle-free,

5 out of 5 eggsPNY Eulogy

Pros: Tough. Faithful to the end. Honorably retired.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Far too late to do anyone any good - not many looking for USB2 flash drives these days - but this tuff little flash drive deserves, at least, a decent eulogy. I carried it around for a year, writing & overwriting almost every week and it never failed me. I recently gave it away to someone after imaging her PC to it. I'm confident it'll work if it ever has to. Replaced, for myself, with USB3 drive and am sorry to say it seems flimsy and delicate in comparison.

4 out of 5 eggsSlllloooooooow

Pros: Big & Cheap

Cons: I have a couple of USB drives, and I zeroize them between uses. I have a set of Voyager USB 3, a set of Patriot XT USB 3, and these. The Write speed on the Voyager and Patriot are around 22 MB/s; these are about 12.
