4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: High capacity, low cost. Has a cap, but the cap can be placed on the other end, much like a ballpoint pen. And the cap actually stays on in either position, which is why this is one of the few capped flash drives where I've managed to avoid losing the cap in the first few months of use.

Cons: An activity light would have been a nice addition.

This is perhaps the slowest flash drive I've ever used. I realize of course that my first USB 1 flash drive was most likely slower in terms of transfer speed, but this drive is so much larger that proportionate to the amount of data being transferred, I'd compare the speed to the days of using a serial port to move files from one computer to the other. It gets there eventually, but you'd better put on a pot of coffee.

Other Thoughts: I deliberately held off on writing a review for several months because it seemed like an awful lot of reviews mentioned early failure. I'm happy to report that mine is still working just fine, however I will note that the drive does not see heavy use, I mostly keep a collection of favorite media on it that is a lot more portable than a hard drive.

2 out of 5 eggsSlow, and Very Limited life

Pros: Cheap
Tough Plastic Case
Lots of room

Cons: Limited Life
No Read/Write Light
Slow Read/Write

Other Thoughts: Bough this drive on sale. Newegg did a great job of fast develiery. The drive worked between August 2012 and March 2013. It wasn't in heavy use about once every 2 or 3 weeks the file got read/write. Given I how much use I got out of it too pricy. :(

1 out of 5 eggsCheap and too costly

Pros: Low cost (but not low enough)

Cons: Fails in a relatively short period of time. The drive turns "read-only" with no way to fix/undo/erase.

Other Thoughts: I have had two PNY Attache2 devices fail (as in, become read-only with no way to undo). The warranty is claimed to be 1 year but you are unlikely able to take advantage of it (you need to have the original packaging and sales receipt) plus, if you happen to have all of that, you have to pay shipping and send back the dead unit (with no way to erase it's contents - it almost seems like a scam by which they have the device fail such that they can collect your private data)

I would stay as far away from these devices as possible. Ever $0 would be too much due to the hassle.

1 out of 5 eggsPNY Attache 2 64GB USB 2.0

Pros: None

Cons: Does not work. Have tried it on 3 computers. Never gets recognized by the system on first connection. When it finally is recognized, you cannot copy any data to the drive, get an error message. Reformatted it to NTFS. Same results.

1 out of 5 eggsWrite Protected!

Pros: Low cost, nice design, sturdy build.

Cons: The flash drive worked well for about 7 months. I use it with a Raspberry Pi media center to store movies and videos. One day I unplug it to update the movie selection and I get an error in Windows that the device is write protected. I plug it in to my Linux box and attempt to format, no go. Just submitted an RMA.

Other Thoughts: I don't normally write a review for something like a flash drive or SD card as it either works or it doesn't. In this case I decided to add my comment to the list of people having this exact same problem. If you choose to purchase this drive you do so at your own risk.

1 out of 5 eggsSLOWER THAN A TURTLE IN WINTER

Pros: none

Cons: I just got this & formatted it to NTFS to accept large files... first file I have is 30G... 1 hr 45M aprox time @ 7.2MB per sec?!?! Wow... this is a USB 1 stick?!?!! I am transfering from a OCZ agility SSD 10G + per sec... 7.2 MB per sec?!?! realy?!?! reeeealy?!?! PNY should be ashamed of themselves for even putting this on the market... Transfer speed on USB 2 IRL should be around 33MB - 99MB per sec.... This Is No USB2... & 60.9G when it advertised at 64G is also bad juju... make the thing 63.5 at least... if this first file Im copying dose not function.. guess who requesting an instant RMA!!

Other Thoughts: should have spent the 44$ for the other brand....

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible Replacement Warranty Service!

Pros: None!

Cons: Not only is this my second one that has stopped working in the past year, I went out to PNY site to try and get a replacement. Not only do I have to show proof of purchase they also require me to have the original packaging (really?? so we are expected to keep original packaging material for a year????). Then to top off insult to injury I am expected to pay for all shipping?? So they sell me a useless device that breaks in less than 2 months but I have to pay for shipping both ways to get a replacement??? Sorry PNY you have lost a customer and I will be sure to persuade my clients to avoid your business as well!

1 out of 5 eggsDont Waste Your Money!

Pros: Thought Price Was A Pro, but when it fails less than 2 months old - the only price worth paying is $0.00

Cons: This is the second one of these that has failed on me in the last year. I had made the assumption that the first one was just a fluke, you know PNY is a pretty decent manufacturer, surely it was a fluke! Boy was I wrong!!! The second one that I purchased less than 2 months ago has failed on me! Cant format, cant access the files, computer fails out on me!!

Other Thoughts: PNY should really take a look at all the negative comments and do something about it - your only hurting yourselves by not addressing the issues PNY!!!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for backup

Pros: Low price, high capacity

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: This is a low price backup device that can be transported off-site for extra protection of files against fire and theft.
