Cons: This device is not recognized as a removable disk drive in part to the way it was manufactured. Thus making it useless as a boot drive, the only reason I purchased it. I have external hard drives for file storage and transportation.. I need a boot drive..

Pros: Was price competitive at the time for its capacity (64G)

Cons: Always ran slow for 2 years, then write-protected itself solid. Unsuccssfully tried various suggested solutions found on the internet. Cannot find solution on the PNY website either.

Pros: Original price was cheap for a 64GB thumb drive.

Cons: Even though I've had this drive about a year... I never used it before and the first time I did, it failed... So for me it's not even one time and done....it's done from the get go.

Other Thoughts: I guess mine lasted longer than everyone else's here.... probably because I didn't use it that much. Would've expected more life out of it though. Amazing how consistently this drive fails everyone.... they must have put a time bomb in or something.

Pros: Wasn't that expensive compared to comparable flash drives at the time of purchase.

Cons: Like most of the other reviewers, mine eventually stopped working. It wasn't being used much, which is probably the only reason it lasted the 16 months that it did.

Like another reviewer, I was using this with a Raspberry Pi, and everything was fine until today when I discovered it was "write protected". Tried multiple tools across three different operating systems, and nothing worked.

Thankfully there wasn't anything important or sensitive on the drive, so it can just go in the trash, but I still would have liked to have gotten a few more years out of this.

Other Thoughts: It's slightly amusing to look back and see my own review as the most recent one. Guess they didn't sell too many of these.

No idea what caused the failure either, but I will say that the drive itself always seemed very warm to the touch compared to most other flash drives I've used.

Pros: High capacity, low cost. Has a cap, but the cap can be placed on the other end, much like a ballpoint pen. And the cap actually stays on in either position, which is why this is one of the few capped flash drives where I've managed to avoid losing the cap in the first few months of use.

Cons: An activity light would have been a nice addition.

This is perhaps the slowest flash drive I've ever used. I realize of course that my first USB 1 flash drive was most likely slower in terms of transfer speed, but this drive is so much larger that proportionate to the amount of data being transferred, I'd compare the speed to the days of using a serial port to move files from one computer to the other. It gets there eventually, but you'd better put on a pot of coffee.

Other Thoughts: I deliberately held off on writing a review for several months because it seemed like an awful lot of reviews mentioned early failure. I'm happy to report that mine is still working just fine, however I will note that the drive does not see heavy use, I mostly keep a collection of favorite media on it that is a lot more portable than a hard drive.

Other Thoughts: Bough this drive on sale. Newegg did a great job of fast develiery. The drive worked between August 2012 and March 2013. It wasn't in heavy use about once every 2 or 3 weeks the file got read/write. Given I how much use I got out of it too pricy. :(

Pros: Low cost (but not low enough)

Cons: Fails in a relatively short period of time. The drive turns "read-only" with no way to fix/undo/erase.

Other Thoughts: I have had two PNY Attache2 devices fail (as in, become read-only with no way to undo). The warranty is claimed to be 1 year but you are unlikely able to take advantage of it (you need to have the original packaging and sales receipt) plus, if you happen to have all of that, you have to pay shipping and send back the dead unit (with no way to erase it's contents - it almost seems like a scam by which they have the device fail such that they can collect your private data)

I would stay as far away from these devices as possible. Ever $0 would be too much due to the hassle.
