4 out of 5 eggsWorks for me

Pros: Small, good capacity for a thumb drive

Cons: sliding cover doesn't lock into the open position- if you hold the big part of the body when trying to insert it, the cover slides forward instead of the usb connector plugging in. Newegg's free shipping takes a ridiculously long time, and their packing leaves a lot to be desired...

Other Thoughts: The device itself works fine. It's OK on write speed- not fast, but I've seen slower. Read speed works for my needs, so there's no complaints there. My biggest complaint lies with Newegg's shipping. This order shipped from Edison, NJ, which is about an hour's drive from my location. I received a ship notice with a tracking number nice and fast, but after that- nothing. It took over a week to get here, from a location just one hour away. I'm sure this was due to the combination of DHL and USPS that Newegg uses for their economy shipping service- but really- I could have crawled there and back on my hands and knees faster...The packing was also poor- no cushioning material at all; it was just tossed in a manila envelope and sent out. Luckily, it arrived in one piece, but I'm sure that with packing like this, others haven't been so lucky...

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent USB flash drive

Pros: Extremely fast! usually get around 110-130 MB/S read speed. The dongle sheath works well and protects the USB tip perfectly.

Cons: A little big for today's flash drives, but probably because the dongle protector snaps tightly.

Other Thoughts: I have bought 4 of these already. This is the best deal out there.

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Cheap looking and feeling drive. Failed almost instantly.

Other Thoughts: RMA in process, but I won't trust this drive with anything important

4 out of 5 eggs3.5 Eggs

Pros: Large Capacity 128GB USB 3.0 flash drive at a reasonable price. Decent red LED light for drive activity.

Cons: Seems cheaply made. Thin plastic. Sliding cover is just plain feeble.

Other Thoughts: I've had several other flash drives that seemed cheaply made, but they are still going strong after several years of constant use so I'm giving this one the benefit of the doubt and give it 4 eggs instead of 3. I just don't think it will survive a trip thru the washing machine so you might want to be careful.

3 out of 5 eggsHighly inaccurate speed rating

Pros: Nice small format and no cap to lose.

Cons: Poor read/write speed. When testing the actual sustained data throughput using 5-10 GB MP4 and M2TS files, this device averages 35 MBps write and 42 MBps read speeds (NTFS format). This places this device into the category of being only slightly faster than a good USB 2 flash drive.

Other Thoughts: Using this test method, I get near stated throughput from my Lexar and Corsair fast USB 3 flash drives, but their price is higher as well. This drive is inexpensive and performs like it. If PNY had rated the speed more accurately to it's actual sustain data throughput, it could deserve a 5-star review. As it stands, it's at best a 3-star.

4 out of 5 eggsHappy

Pros: The sliding cover is a little tight but overall love the item. USB 3.0 makes it every easy to copy large movies onto and play from to smart TVs.

Cons: Only little things like sliding cover is a little tight and no key chain attachment.

Other Thoughts: Currently other stores has it for cheaper.

4 out of 5 eggsNice 119 GB Drive Overall

Pros: Seems to be fast, 3.0, and a ton of storage.

Cons: Uses the cheat that many less scrupulous companies do by calling a billion bites, a GB, but such a GB is NOT a Giga-Byte. This drive may have 128 billion bites, but it only has 119 Giga-Bytes of storage. Not a major issue but took off a star for the bad faith.

Also, while the slider may slide up to encapsulate the connector, the slider isn't a full cover, it is more like a protector from bending or snapping the connector, not from gunk getting in or on the connector. Even "closed" the connector is open to debris.

Other Thoughts: Also, this drive comes formatted to FAT file systems, I would change that as soon as I get it to NTFS or exFAT as per your preferences. NTFS is a bit more compatible if you are not sure.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't buy

Pros: 128 GB storage..

Cons: I bought this because I wanted a BIG Thumb Drive, which it is. Since it's so big you would think that it would be constructed to last a long time, compared to say a 4-16Gb thumb drive. This product is very CRUDE and cheap in construction, and it just looks like it won't last very long. It's Cheap Plastic
