2 out of 5 eggsSpeed degrades quickly

Pros: Cheap.

Cons: Fast at first, but then quickly degrades. Large writes will often lock up Windows 8.1 for minutes at a time (Steam downloads).

1 out of 5 eggsunsatisfied

Pros: cheap

Cons: plagued with issues which might be solved in PNY ever updated the firmware. similar problems others experience... crashes, blue screens, then bios doesn't recognize the drive.... reboot 4-6 more times then it works fine

Other Thoughts: buy something else

2 out of 5 eggsgood price bad quality

Pros: cheap and nice at first kinda

Cons: kinda slow compared to others, started giving me problems, it acts like its reading or moving data and jams up and kills my pc, lags it to hell then gives it a blue screen of death then reboots and tells me theres no drive anymore, i go into bios and then exit (i dont change anything lol) and it boots back up....just to do the same thing over and over....RMA'ing this when i buy ANOTHER BRAND to replace it with. PNY makes good thumb drives (i cant destroy them!) but ssds not so good... :-(

1 out of 5 eggsTwo Thumbs Down

Pros: Cheap. Big

Cons: I'll add to the pile of dead drives listed here. Mine started about a week ago not showing up in BIOS or booting. Getting more frequent, and I know I'm on borrowed time. Going to try and return it, but for what? Another piece of junk?

Other Thoughts: Spend an extra 100 and get a real SSD.

1 out of 5 eggsWorked GREAT!...for 3 days

Pros: Very quick! I was impressed with the speed of this thing!

Cons: First 2 days were great. On day 3 I got a blue screen twice and then my computer (and 2 others) quit recognizing it. Completely dead. Thankfully I didn't have much on it. I will not be buying PNY the second time around.

Other Thoughts: Don't waste your money on this "budget buy".

1 out of 5 eggsAnother update after RMA

Pros: At this point, none, other than the fact that it was cheap.

Cons: after 6 month of use, from july-dec, it failed so I had it RMA. One came in mail looked brand new sealed. However... this one is DOA. If I were you, I would stir clear of this one and probably any PNY SSDs all together.
- First one failed within 6 month
- Second one DOA

Other Thoughts: avoid

1 out of 5 eggsWorked for only 6 Months! Lost EVERYTHING! My entire life, GONE!

Pros: Great size for the price.
Worked amazingly while it lasted

Cons: After almost exactly 6 months of use the SSD just died, stopped working. My computer would not recognize the presence of the drive. Even after putting it in multiple external enclosures on other computers the SSD does not even show up as a device plugged in. I have purchased other PNY SSDs and have had problems with all of them!

THE PRICE TAG MAY SEEM APPEALING! BUT YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!

1 out of 5 eggsupdate from july 2014

Pros: it worked while it did

Cons: - the drive's random speed performed at about 25~35% of advertised speed. and that is while it did.
- it stopped being recognized after 6 month of very mild use on my desktop. I saw last time i checked, power cycle of about 60~70 times. around 2 TB writing.
- the drive started disappearing in bios at about 5 month point. I wasnt sure what the problem was so I tried switching sata slot, cables and even mobo. didnt stop random disappearance. then finally it disappeared for good.
- I took it to another pc with external dock. after about 10 times of plug/unplug, I got it to appear and formated it. failed the first two formats but it went through. then I brought it back to where it belongs and started fresh install of windows. it was taking 40min and still at 80% expending so I knew immediately that this drive is no good. right now im using a spare 120gb ocz vector 460 which completed the install in about 8min.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect HD Replacement for laptop

Pros: Price, It's an SSD.

Cons: Wasn't looking for the top performer so for the price this one was perfect.

Other Thoughts: HDD replacement for my A10 laptop. I gave up about 500GB but I don't store alot on the laptop so the speed was worth it.

4 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: Not the fastest but lot faster then any of the HDD that you can upgrade from.

Cons: Didn't came with anything else. Just the SSD in the box with a plastic protector of some sort which it's of no use. I might be a spacer for laptop install?

Other Thoughts: Using it as a secondary SSD for games and such. Runs the games fast enough and lots of room to hold more of it.
