First there was the hard drive. Then there was the floppy drive, and later, the affordable hard drive. Now it's time to move from electro-mechanical storage to fully solid-state storage.
No moving parts means less power and more reliability (two million hours mean time between failures [MTBF]), and less power means less heat. Using the established 2.5 inch form factor and SATA II interface for maximum compatibility makes retrofitting your computer(s) with this 64 GB solid state drive easy. Use in any environment where you need quiet, low power consumption, or need the drives to be particularly rugged.
A drive like this isn't for just anyone---yet. But if you like being ahead of the curve or you need data storage that's tough as a brick, this could be exactly what you need. So do your homework and make up your own mind; we'll be here when you're done.

Solid state works for me
- Pros: I put one of these in a small PC for lab use. My need for something rugged, quiet, and low power justified the cost. I'm not sure how all the timing specs work out (seek time = 0 ?), but this thing boots XP in 10 seconds, which made me very happy.
- Cons: Wish they were $50.
- Other Thoughts: If you compare SS disks, pay special attention to the write time.
be aware
- Pros: maybe is good
- Cons: but is not gonna work with dell xps 1210 and probably other laptops
hdd its not the same size as laptop , its too short of 4mm.

Well, proof that MLC SSD is just a gimmick...
- Pros: It has the magical "SSD" guru status.
- Cons: Multitasking is a no go...
- Other Thoughts: I've bought a Samsung Q30-Plus SSD notebook back in 2006 - that notebook had 1st generation SSD in it, and it worked faster than a desktop machine equipped with this one as a system disk. Generally, a disappointment.
- Pros: Cannot think of one except maybe lightweight and shaving a few seconds off boot time. That's about it.
- Cons: The drive hangs the entire system from time to time. Especially when resuming from standby. The HDD light stays lit for about 2 minutes. Very frustating situation. I had to swap it out with my old HDD drive to keep my sanity.
- Other Thoughts: The manufacturer is obviously hiding that fact.
Great, Good Price
- Pros: Very fast, durable drive. Upgraded my MacBook Pro in ~30 minutes.
- Cons: A little small.
- Other Thoughts: You really don't need more than 64 GB.
