5 out of 5 eggsGreat product!

Pros: Conveniently sized usb drive and so much space to save your documents, media files, etc. I often would use it to transfer data from one computer to another. Or to save 2-3 movies. It's SMALL and convenient to keep in a glasses case or maybe even a thin wallet.

Cons: It's SMALL. Might be easy to lose for some. I've had it since 2010 and its 2012 and I may have lost it during my wedding reception (too many things to keep track of).

Other Thoughts: As with most flash drives, you do need to format the drive at least once a year, and more frequently if it's used in higher frequency, especially if you use it for a mixture of media types.

5 out of 5 eggsWaterproof!?!

Pros: I've had several flash drives that bricked if you didn't do "safe removal" before you unplug it. I've had drives that were bad out of the box.

This drive, I found in our dryer. I left it in a pant's pocket and it went through the washer and dryer. I waited a day, plugged it in, and it works. Everything on the drive is still there.

I would buy another one in a heartbeat

Cons: It likes to hide in pockets and other small areas

5 out of 5 eggsKiller Flash Drive!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I've owned about 10+ of these drives. I would use them for web work, leisure use, and business. They are ultra portable & extremely reliable. Wish Lexar made a large capacity model! Hopefully in due time.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Solid

Pros: Fit in all close USB bays- side by side or above-below, no problem.
CAP is snap on- snug. Covers most of the drive. Drive itself feels very solid- might be solid plastic through? =NICE. Strong.
I've had some fails on gear in the last 20 years. These feel like they won't fail for another 20 years.

If you don't want one of those slick long-thin designs, or fold outs, or sliders, or mini's, THIS is the one to get in the USA/UK (see note*)

Cons: It's hard to get the LED activity light in a color you want (I've got various colors on various capacitys of this model).
Most are either red or blue.

Other Thoughts: I've got one of each of these, 1,2,4,8gb versions (in different colors).
I've had them for 1-3 years.
They have gone through the wash and been OK (make sure to let the contacts dry!).

*NOTE: the best cap-design I've seen is these "MyFlash" (by Adata?) from 2007-2008. Hard to find in the states, if at all, and they had a tiny chain attached to the cap, but maxed out at 8gb in 2008. This is the next best thing next to their mini versions!

1 out of 5 eggsUGH....

Pros: Decent Capacity
Small & lightweight
Sometimes it works

Cons: Small & lightweight - easily missplaced....
Sometimes it doesn't work
SLOW - compared to other USB 2.0 products.

Other Thoughts: I bought one of these based on the Lexar name... almost enough to turn me away from Lexar :(

I have a 5 year old 2GB thumb drive from a competitor that is faster than this drive. It's also never given me problems.

Two of the PC's I've tried to use this drive on do not recognize the drive, even though 2 others will. Both of the ones that don't are Windows XP Home based machines, the two that do recognize the drive are Windows XP Pro 32bit & Windows 7 Pro 64bit.

With current prices of Thumb drives Vs shipping costs, it's not even worth it to RMA the drive...

4 out of 5 eggsNice for the Price

Pros: The Drive is just the size that my wife needed for School/Work use.

Cons: I bought the drive because it states a blue light (my wife loves the color blue) We received the device and the indicator was red.. Not a deal killer but my wife was disappointed.

5 out of 5 eggsSometimes it's the simple things

Pros: Rock solid; attaches at the CAP; reliable - it always works when I need it!

Cons: not USB 3 (yet?)

Other Thoughts: All of the other thumb drives attach by the drive itself - I guess they expect EVERYONE to attach these things to their keys. Well, I hardly know anyone that does that. The firefly line attaches by the CAP, so I can carry it in my laptop bag and easily uncap and use it. Why doesn't any other manufacturer figure this out?
Oh, and for the less important things (!?!), the drive has worked flawlessy for 1+ years for me. I can't wait for the USB3 version!

5 out of 5 eggsSolid

Pros: Small, Portable, 16GB, Cheap, Reliable, etc. This thing has worked so flawlessly with absolute max speed on transfer consistently. The only degradation in speed I've noticed is actually the fault of the computer I put it in, such is life.

This thing works great as a boot drive as well thanks to some pen drive linux stuff out there. Very impressed. Every once in awhile you get little twitchy tendencies out of flash drives, fact of life, but I can say I have beat the snot out of this thing without a single flaw in 4 months. I boot off of it, transfer files, run as FAT32 (to boot from), run as NTFS (to transfer 4+GB files), etc. I've played movies on a media player off this thing.

Cons: None thus far, even the blasted cap stays on tight after months of covering and uncovering.

Other Thoughts: Lexar has won me over, they only ever cost a couple bucks over the bargain duds. I've now had an 8 and 16GB from Lexar and I can promise my 32GB will be Lexar based on this performance as I am blown away. From 128MB to 16GB, this is the first one I've NEVER had the most remote issue with.

5 out of 5 eggsTough lil' guy

Pros: Well built.
Very small.
Very secure clip.
Works in everything I have jammed it into.
It's 16GB

Cons: Only 16GB, not 3TB.

Other Thoughts: I have been banging this thing around on my key chain for over a year now and it works great every time I use it.

I upgraded from the 4GB version that I had for at least a year prior to this one and that one won't die either. I even washed it with my laundry once.*

* Don't do this.
