4 out of 5 eggsMade a big difference

Pros: Upgraded my wife's Samsung laptop running an 380M i3 but only came with 3 gigs of ram. Even after cleaning it up (both hardware and software) it was still sluggish. I noticed that the RAM usage was very high, so I figured I'd buy some replacement sticks.

The Crucial ram was plug and play with no issues, done in 5 minutes, and had a noticeable improvement in the boot time, program loading time, etc.

Cons: A little more than I wanted to pay for a laptop upgrade, but she's happy so it was worth it.

Other Thoughts: Probably should've spent the money on a new SSD for her desktop computer instead.

5 out of 5 eggsWorked well

Pros: Works well in a Lenovo M58P
Flash the Bios to the updated version 5cja77 first though unless you like a blank screen and a beeps.

Cons: None
Crucial memory has never let me down.

5 out of 5 eggsWorked in Lenovo Y410P

Pros: Put these into a Lenovo Y410P to replace the 8 gig single stick of memory so I can have dual channel. No problems at all. Memory works fine.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Price was right. Unfortunately I'm not really seeing any difference between single channel and dual channel operation. Probably, knowing what I know now, I would have left the 8 gig single stick in place.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks in Mac Mini 2012

Pros: Read some reviews and at other retailer where people said it worked in Mac Mini but not MBR. Was worried when I took out my stock ram and noticed that the mini has etched into it, "1.5v RAM" and this is 1.35.
However, both sticks work. I notice a subjective improvement.

Cons: none

1 out of 5 eggsOne Stick Was D.O.A.

Pros: Newegg promptly issued an RMA. Replacement memory kit took a while to get here, but they e-mailed an update for each step of the return / verify / authorise / ship / delivery process.

Cons: One of the two modules was dead on arrival. Tried them in a Lenovo laptop and also in an ITX-size (mini) motherboard PC. In each case one module was dead no matter which slot we used.

Other Thoughts: Why do we buy Crucial memory? Because they are famous for reliability. Sadly, the very first Crucial laptop memory kit we order is defective. Are we disappointed? Yes.

The replacement modules seem to work OK for several days now so, fingers crossed, they will continue operate normally.

1 out of 5 eggsCrucial 8GB (2 x 4GB) Failed Memory Test

Pros: Good price and . . . Lenovo Tiny M92p did recognized memory and booted up properly. Real improvement with dual channel for onboard video card (Intel 2500) . . . but . . . Glad I have Shoprunner . . . shipped it back for free (use it whenever I can).

Cons: Memory did not pass memtest86 . . .. Ran test twice. Same result. Failed test 13 (the hammer test). Ten errors on standard 4 tests for a total of 40 errors. The errors were very consistent . . . just bad memory. Murphy's law . . . it happens.

Other Thoughts: Maybe I just got unlucky. Normally have good results with Crucial. But then again there is a reason that I do memory tests. Went with G.Skill F3-1600C11D-8GRSL . . . it passed without any problems.
